Helicopter Pilot (Instructor) - Fort Rucker, Alabama
Amentum seeks a qualified Helicopter Pilot (Instructor) to join its team at Fort Rucker, Alabama. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction in the UH-72 helicopter.
Responsibilities
Instruct, coach, and mentor student pilots through intensive training programs designed to prepare them for future roles as military aviators. Emphasize safety as paramount in all aspects of rotary wing flight training.
Minimum Qualifications

Possess an ICAO equivalent or FAA commercial pilot certificate and an ICAO equivalent or FAA flight instructor certificate with rotorcraft category, helicopter class, and instrument helicopter ratings on both certificates, OR be a graduate of any DOD rotary wing instructor pilot course for rotary wing aircraft.

1500 total flight hours. Flight time as pilot-in-command or second-in-command (per FAR 61.51); as Pilot in Command (PIC) or Pilot (PI) (Per AR 95-1) in aircraft of any weight or category is creditable.

A combination of 100 hours of hooded instrument, flight simulator instrument, or weather pilot time.

Must have instructed students in instrument flight training.

75 hours of night flying.

500 hours of instructor time.

A current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate prior to beginning training.

Basic Warfighter Skills Applicants: Must be certified Night Vision Goggle (NVG) qualified and possess 200 hours of NVG time.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to provide proof of such authorization.
Additional Requirements

Applicants are subject to Government approval and terms of a 12-month Employee Agreement.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $55.85. Compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
