An opportunity exists for a qualified aviation professional to join a leading contractor supporting the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence at Fort Novosel, Alabama. This position serves as an Instructor Pilot within a comprehensive rotary-wing flight training program, contributing to the development of future Army aviators.
The Instructor Pilot plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality flight instruction across various phases of training. Responsibilities include providing instruction in aviation theory, simulator operations, actual flight training, and instrument flight procedures. The program boasts an exceptional safety record, reflecting the rigorous standards upheld by instructors.
Located at the world's largest rotary-wing flight school, this program trains approximately 1,000 student pilots annually. Instructors guide undergraduate student pilots, many with limited prior experience, through months of intensive training designed to prepare them for challenging operational environments. The training is conducted in partnership with the U.S. Army and includes instruction in the UH-72 helicopter, with specific UH-72 qualification or prior military aviation experience not required for consideration.
This position is subject to U.S. Government approval and requires the candidate to pass and maintain a U.S. Government background security check. Successful candidates will be required to complete specific training and pass a government acceptance checkride. Employment is offered under the terms of a 12-month Employment Training Agreement.
