Amentum is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Instructor Pilot at the US Army Aviation Center of Excellence, Fort Rucker, Alabama. This individual will train future Army helicopter pilots, contributing to the largest rotary wing flight school globally, supporting the Army, Air Force, NATO, and allied countries.
The Instructor Pilot will lead undergraduate student pilots through comprehensive training, encompassing aviation theory, simulator instruction, and actual flight training. The curriculum prepares them for the demands of combat operations, emphasizing safety and leadership development. Instruction is delivered in shifts across a vast training area.
Applicants must possess an ICAO equivalent or FAA commercial pilot certificate and an ICAO equivalent or FAA flight instructor certificate with rotorcraft category, helicopter class and instrument helicopter ratings on both certificates, or be a graduate of any DOD rotary wing instructor pilot course for rotary wing aircraft.

Selected applicants are subject to Government approval, a 12-month Employee Training Agreement, and must pass and maintain a U.S. Government background security check, as well as complete training and a government acceptance check ride. Instruction will be provided in the UH-72. Military aviation experience or UH-72 qualification is not required.
