Amentum is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Instructor Pilot. This position involves providing instruction in the UH-72 helicopter at the US Army Aviation Center of Excellence, Fort Rucker, Alabama. Amentum instructors train Army helicopter pilots, contributing to the graduation of approximately 1,000 students annually. The role encompasses aviation theory, simulator instruction, and actual flight training, preparing undergraduate student pilots for demanding operational environments. Safety is paramount, and the program maintains a strong safety record.
The Instructor Pilot will lead students through a comprehensive training program, developing their leadership skills and preparing them for future combat roles. The training environment involves multinational students and is managed in partnership with the Army.
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
Military aviation experience or UH-72 qualification is not required. Selected applicants are subject to Government approval, a 12-month Employee Training Agreement, a U.S. Government background security check, and a government acceptance checkride.
