Helicopter Pilot Instructor

Amentum is seeking a qualified Helicopter Pilot Instructor to join its team at Fort Novosel, Alabama. This individual will provide instruction in the TH-1H helicopter to U.S. Air Force personnel. This role is integral to the Air Force's premier helicopter flying training unit, the 23d Flying Training Squadron (FTS), and is part of a collaborative partnership between the Air Force, the Army, and Amentum. This position requires a commitment to safety and adherence to rigorous training standards.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a U.S. Air Force helicopter instructor pilot, including those with CV-22 experience who attended SUPT-H or UHT. They must have maintained currency in U.S. DOD military aircraft within the past four years, or within the past six years with 11 years of DOD military operational flying duty. A minimum of 1,000 hours of total DOD military helicopter time and 200 hours of DOD military helicopter instructor time are required. A thorough working knowledge of all USAF flight regulations is essential. Candidates must possess a current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate before beginning PIT training, and must not exceed 250 pounds in flight duty uniform. A successful completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) is also mandatory. Employment is contingent upon government approval and a 12-month Employee Training Agreement. Candidates must also successfully pass and maintain a U.S. Government background security check and complete a government acceptance checkride.
