Instructor Pilot - UH-72
Amentum is seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to join our team as Instructor Pilots at the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence, Fort Rucker, Alabama. Overview:
As an Instructor Pilot, you will provide comprehensive flight instruction in the UH-72 helicopter to aspiring Army aviators. You will guide student pilots through rigorous training, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of helicopter operations, preparing them for the demands of combat aviation.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction in accordance with established training standards, utilizing both simulator and real-world flight environments.
- Maintain a high level of safety and professionalism in all aspects of training.
- Develop and implement innovative training methods to enhance student learning.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to student pilots, fostering their growth and development.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of training programs.
Qualifications:
- Possession of an ICAO equivalent or FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate and an ICAO equivalent or FAA Flight Instructor Certificate with rotorcraft category, helicopter class and instrument helicopter ratings on both certificates, or graduation from any DOD rotary wing instructor pilot course for rotary wing aircraft.
- Minimum of 1500 hours of flight time, including 100 hours of hooded instrument, flight simulator instrument, or weather pilot time.
- Proven experience in instructing students in instrument flight training.
- Minimum of 75 hours of night flying and 500 hours of instructor experience.
- Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate required prior to beginning training.
- Flight duty uniform weight must not exceed 250 pounds.
- Must successfully pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

Important Notes:
