First Officer/Co-Pilot
Amentum is seeking a qualified First Officer/Co-Pilot to join its team in Las Vegas, NV. The First Officer serves as Second in Command (SIC) of B737-600NG aircraft, supporting the Pilot in Command (PIC) and ensuring the safe and efficient transport of passengers and cargo.
Responsibilities:
- Pilots aircraft and transports passengers and cargo.
- Assists the Pilot in Command (PIC) and assumes their role if necessary.
- Ensures the safety of passengers, crew, cargo, and the aircraft.
- Complies with all applicable regulations, policies, and Air Traffic Control (ATC) directives.
- Manipulates aircraft controls as pilot flying (PF) and performs specified duties as pilot monitoring (PM) during flight operations.
- Reviews maintenance logs, planned route, weather reports and forecasts, Notices to Air Missions (NOTAMs), and pilot information files (PIFs) prior to each flight.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), the Airman’s Information Manual (AIM), the aircraft manufacturer’s Flight Crew Operations Manual (FCOM), Flight Crew Training Manual (FCTM) and Quick Reaction Handbook (QRH), the Customer’s Site Procedures Manual (SPM), and the Company’s Flight Operations Manual (FOM).
- Computes aircraft weight/balance and takeoff/landing data.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of a current US DOT/FAA First Class Medical Certificate (with EKG if over 39 years old).
- Possession of a US DOT/FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with B737 Type rating and no restrictions.
- Must have a US DOD TS/SCI security clearance.
- Must have a current US DHS/TSA LAS airport badge.
- Possession of a current US Passport or valid US Birth Certificate.
- Possession of a current US state-issued Driver’s License.
- Compliance with all US DOT 14 CFR requirements for pilots, specifically, Parts 60, 61, 67, 117, 120, and 121 including age 65 limit, as amended by the Customer.
- A minimum of 1,500 total in-seat hours logged as a crewmember in fixed-wing powered aircraft.
- Maintenance of training and checking currency as required by Company policy, and 14 CFR Part 121, as amended by the Customer.
Working Conditions:
The work environment is primarily the cockpit of a jet aircraft. This is a confined space potentially subject to high noise levels, extreme temperatures, and low humidity. The role may involve exposure to physical and mental stress due to in-flight emergencies, inclement weather, high noise levels, vibration/turbulence, and other environmental factors. The position is primarily sedentary, with some walking, bending, stretching, climbing, and manipulating controls from a seated position.
