Alpine Air | Pilot

Alpine Air is seeking highly skilled and experienced full-time Captains to operate Beechcraft 99 aircraft at their Salt Lake City, Utah location. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to safety, possess exceptional piloting abilities, and exhibit strong crew resource management and customer relations skills. This individual must be a team player with excellent professional interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Operating aircraft in strict adherence to all applicable regulations, corporate policies, and procedures.
  • Prioritizing safety and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Maintaining professional communication skills for complex internal and external aircraft interactions.
  • Executing flights proficiently during day, night, and all weather conditions.

Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 1100 hours total BE99 flight time.
  • Commercial pilot certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings.

General qualifications include:

  • Possession of a valid FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
  • Compliance with all 135 pilot requirements.
  • Successful completion of the company training program, demonstrating proficiency in job-related tasks.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 70 lbs of cargo to shoulder height on a regular basis.
  • Ability to bend and squat repeatedly, while adhering to safe lifting practices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • High school diploma required; a BS/BA degree is preferred.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check, in addition to receiving U.S. Postal clearance.
  • Eligibility to work in the U.S. and have resided in the U.S. for 4.5 of the past 5 years.

Working Conditions:

The role involves frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, and heat. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.

Compensation:

This is a full-time position. First-year pilots can expect an approximate annual salary of $72,000, incorporating compensation programs such as rate per route and per diem. Some Alpine Air pilots earn considerably more. Compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package, a 401(k) plan with employer match, generous paid time off, eight paid holidays per year, and medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, all available immediately upon employment.
