Beechcraft 1900 Captain - Wichita, KS
Alpine Air seeks an experienced and highly qualified Captain to operate the Beechcraft 1900 for its flight operations based in Wichita, Kansas. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Captain will be responsible for:
- Operating aircraft in full compliance with all applicable regulations, corporate policies, and procedures.
- Prioritizing safety and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Utilizing professional communication skills for complex internal and external aircraft communications.
- Conducting flights in diverse conditions, including day, night, and varying weather scenarios.
Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include:
- B1900 Flight Time: 1200 hours Total, 100 hours Multi-Engine.
General qualifications include:
- Possession of a valid FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
- Fulfillment of all FAA Part 135 pilot requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully complete the company's training program and achieve proficiency in all job-related requirements.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding the English language.
- Ability to lift and move up to 70 lbs of cargo to shoulder height on a regular basis, employing safe lifting techniques.
- Ability to bend and squat repeatedly.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test, background check, and receipt of U.S. Postal clearance.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. and having resided in the U.S. for at least 4.5 of the past 5 years.
Working Conditions:
The employee will frequently be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, and heat. The position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
Physical Requirements:
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. The employee must be able to frequently bend, twist, lift, and practice safe lifting methods. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Compensation:
This is a full-time position. First-year pilots can typically expect to earn in excess of $82,000 annually, utilizing compensation programs such as rate per route and per diem. Compensation includes competitive benefits and a 401(k) plan with employer matching. Generous Paid Time Off, eight (8) paid holidays per year, and Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance are available immediately upon employment.
