About the Role

Airspeed Aviation, a regional charter operator based in Tamworth, NSW, Australia, is seeking an experienced Charter Pilot and Grade 2 IFR MEA Instructor. This full-time position involves operating light and turbine aircraft, including the Baron 58, Cessna C414, Cessna C404, and TBM850, while also delivering Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) and Multi-Engine Aerodrome (MEA) training. The role offers career progression opportunities within the company, with a history of pilots advancing to positions with the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) and airlines. The position combines charter flying duties with instructional responsibilities in a supportive, community-focused environment.

Requirements

• Australian Citizenship or the current right to work in Australia.
• Located within Australia.
• Current Australian Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with an Instrument Rating.
• Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• Instructor Rating with Grade 2, MEA, IFR, NGT, and DFT endorsements.
• A minimum of 800 hours of total flight time.
• A minimum of 100 hours of multi-engine experience.
• Demonstrated skills in hospitality and customer service.
• A positive and energetic attitude with a passion for General Aviation (GA).

Qualifications (Desirable)

• Tailwheel and aerobatics experience.
• GTE and PXS endorsements.
• Remote charter experience.
• Leadership or management experience.
