The Opportunity
Airmedic invites applications from highly skilled and motivated individuals for the position of Learjet 45 XR First Officer. This is a regular, full-time role integral to the company's demanding aeromedical flight operations. The successful candidate will be based primarily at YUL/St-Hubert, Quebec, with the essential requirement of willingness to operate from all of Airmedic's satellite bases as operational needs dictate. The demanding operational schedule involves 14 consecutive days on duty, followed by 7 days off, necessitating a high degree of adaptability to demanding shift patterns, including weekends and holidays, with shifts potentially lasting up to 14 hours.

Technical Skills:
- Comprehensive knowledge of systems and procedures specific to the Learjet 45 XR aircraft and Airmedic’s operational protocols.
- Capability to perform efficiently and effectively under pressure, seamlessly integrating into a fast-paced team environment.
- Strict adherence to current aviation regulations, operational procedures, and applicable laws governing flight operations.
- Mandatory bilingual proficiency in both French and English to meet operational and communication requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements
Licenses & Certifications:
- Valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL).
- Valid Group 1 Instrument Rating.
- Successful completion of the SARON and SAMRA examinations.
- Valid Category 1 Medical Certificate, free from any restrictions for night flying operations.
- Current Pilot Proficiency Check (PPC) as First Officer on the Learjet 45 XR type, or a demonstrated willingness to obtain this certification promptly.
- Absence of any criminal record that would impede travel to the United States or internationally.
- Possession of a valid passport and all necessary authorizations for unrestricted international travel.
- Eligibility to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
- Meet minimum ICAO Level 5 language proficiency standards in both French and English.
Minimum Flight Experience:
- A minimum of 750 total flight hours.
- At least 250 hours of multi-engine flight time.
- A minimum of 500 hours of Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) experience.
Valuable Assets:
The following experience will be considered a significant advantage and highly valued:
- 250 hours of turboprop or jet experience.
- Prior experience in similar aeromedical or specialized aviation operations.
- Previous experience as a First Officer on the Learjet 40 XR.
- Experience on Learjet 40, 45, 70, and 75 aircraft variants, including LR45XR and LR40XR.
Ongoing Professional Development
The First Officer will demonstrate a strong commitment to promptly completing and meticulously maintaining all mandatory ongoing training and certifications required for the role, ensuring continuous compliance with aviation standards and fostering professional growth within Airmedic.
