Airbus Asia Training Centre Seeks Experienced Type Rating Instructor / Examiner
Airbus Asia Training Centre Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Type Rating Instructor (TRI) / Type Rating Examiner (TRE) to join their team in Singapore. This permanent, professional position offers the exciting opportunity to train and evaluate airline crew transitioning to Airbus aircraft.
Position Overview:
The TRI/TRE will play a crucial role in ensuring the competency and confidence of airline pilots transitioning to Airbus aircraft. Responsibilities encompass all aspects of instruction and evaluation, encompassing operational, technical, and performance aspects for specific Airbus aircraft types.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive instruction to airline crews transitioning to Airbus aircraft, covering all operational and technical aspects for designated aircraft types.
- Utilize a variety of training environments, including Flight Training Devices, Fixed Base Simulators, Full Flight Simulators, Aircrafts, and Lecture rooms to effectively convey information and develop pilot proficiency.
- Conduct theoretical and practical training for type-rating courses, flight operations courses, and aircraft performance.
- Evaluate crew progression and determine the need for additional training to achieve proficiency and competence aligned with training objectives.
- Conduct Base Trainings and Line Trainings (Initial Operating Experiences, IOE) for airline crew on applicable Airbus aircrafts.
- Administer aircraft type rating skills tests, license proficiency checks, and operator proficiency checks on applicable Airbus aircraft types.
- Uphold adherence to Airbus standard policy and standardization protocols as mandated by Flight Development and Flight Standardization & Policy.
- Contribute to the review and development of training programs as assigned by the Head of Training.
- Participate in instructor assessments, flight training audits, FSTD fly-outs, and qualifications.
- Maintain a high level of airmanship and professionalism while instructing in a multicultural environment.
Qualifications:
- EASA ATPL License
- EASA Medical Class 1 certificate
- Valid EASA Type Rating on the relevant Airbus aircraft type
- Valid EASA Instructor certificate on the relevant Airbus aircraft type unrestricted (LIFUS or Landing Training)
- Valid EASA Examiner certificate on the relevant Airbus aircraft type (preferred)
- Low Visibility Operations qualification (at least one auto land in Airbus FBW aircraft as Captain)
- ETOPS qualification (preferred)
- Minimum 8000 hours as Pilot
- Minimum 5000 hours on jet large aircraft
- Minimum 2500 hours as Captain on Airbus aircraft
- Minimum 1500 hours on Airbus FBW aircraft type(s)
- Minimum 500 hours as Captain or instructor assigned to conduct LIFUS / IOE
- Experience with Evidence Base Training / Competences Base Training Assessment (preferred)
- Completion of the Airbus Pilot Instructor Course (APIC) (preferred)
- Fluent in English with a minimum English Language Proficiency Rating of 5
