About the role

This is a non-flying support role within Airbus Australia Pacific (AAP) Operations. You will directly support our Oakey Army Aviation Training Centre (AAvnTC) Groundcrewman Training Team. You as a member of the Groundcrewman Training Team will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Groundcrewman training within the School of Army Aviation (SAA).

This is a role which is embedded in the customer’s organisation and will as appropriate make use of Airbus and customer resources, processes, systems and tools to enable service delivery excellence in support of AAvnTC. Your focus on the support of safe and efficient flight operations and training and will operate within the framework of both the Airbus and the AAvnTC flight management systems (FMS).

About you

To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment. The skills and experience best suited to this role:

  • Previous experience supporting flight operations within the AAvnTC or other Australian Defence Force (ADF) military FMS and operational knowledge of Army Aviation (AAvn) Orders, Instructions and Procedures (OIP)
  • Thorough knowledge of military aviation training regulations, standards and best practices.
  • Capability in authoring, maintaining and complying with a full suite of operational documents as per regulations (compliance and currency)
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in Army Aviation Groundcrewman Aircraft Support operations
  • Working knowledge of the Australian Defence Force’s System Approach to Defence Learning (SADL)
  • Knowledge of and experience in the Army Aviation (AAvn) training system
