The Test Pilot is responsible for the comprehensive oversight of flights, including the authorization of flight orders and adherence to approved flight-test plans. This position requires real-time decision-making during flight, coordination with engineering teams to resolve aircraft issues, and ensuring operational safety and efficiency. The role also entails extensive customer engagement during aircraft delivery, communicating Airbus-approved positions on industry and flight-test matters. Additional duties may include supporting training departments, conducting external and developmental flights, providing support to other Airbus flight-test centers globally, and representing Airbus at industry conferences.
