While the environment is fun-loving, hard work is crucial, requiring candidates to be on their feet for extended periods across various flight sectors. They must be able to manage irregular hours, handle conflicts, maintain cabin cleanliness, and work on the tarmac and at the gates. This position also demands the ability to remain firm in emergency situations, provide clear instructions, and enforce safety rules. AirAsia seeks individuals with both a great personality and a well-groomed appearance. They are not seeking runway models but rather individuals who prioritize excellent service and respectful team collaboration.
Age Requirement:
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Appearance and Grooming:
While AirAsia encourages self-expression, they also require high standards of grooming and presentation. Candidates should have clear, flawless skin without acne marks, and no visible marks on their hands and legs. Braces are not permitted. Hair should be neat and healthy. Men may have long hair but must understand that a shorter hairstyle might be required upon hiring.
Height Requirements:
- Ladies: minimum 157cm barefoot.
- Men: minimum 170cm barefoot with a minimum arm reach of 210cm.
Working Hours:
Cabin Crew working hours are productivity-based, offering increased earnings potential based on shifts undertaken.
Interview Preparations:
Candidates should prepare the following for their interview:
- Original and copy of Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with a CREDIT in English (or substitute credential), a pass in D Bahasa Malaysia, and one other credit in another subject.
- Original and copies of MYKad/Passport.
- Original and copies of vaccination digital certificate.
- Updated resume.
- Original and copies of certificates of higher education or equivalent.
- Versant English Placement Test (minimum GSE Score 50 points), valid within two years (required if SPM English credit is not met).
