Job Summary
Philippines AirAsia Inc. is actively recruiting for a dedicated First Officer to join its Flight Operations department. The First Officer plays a critical role in supporting the Commander to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of aircraft. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Commander in all phases of flight operations, from preparation to post-flight activities, adhering to strict regulatory requirements and maintaining professional standards.
- Participate actively in crew briefings, thoroughly reviewing aeronautical, meteorological, and technical information, along with aircraft load details.
- Ensure the continuous validity of all personal licenses, medical certifications, passports, visas, and logbooks.
- Conduct thorough cross-checks to verify the validity of required documentation for all operating technical crew members.
- Execute duties as Pilot Flying (PF) or Pilot Monitoring (PM) as directed by the Commander, ensuring seamless flight deck operations.
- Contribute to effective flight deck management through strategic task distribution, cooperative teamwork, information sharing, and vigilant monitoring of flight progress, aircraft systems, airspace, and crew performance.
- Accurately complete and manage all essential operational documentation, including Operational Flight Plans, occurrence reports, and Voyage Reports.
- Upon flight completion, support the Commander in finalizing aircraft documentation, ensuring the flight deck is prepared for subsequent crews, and executing necessary handovers and aircraft security procedures.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate possesses a friendly, mature, humble, honest, and meticulous demeanor, capable of performing effectively under pressure in dynamic operational environments. A proactive self-starter with strong situational awareness is essential.
Qualifications:
- A valid CAAP Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating (CPL/IR) or Multi-Engine Pilot License (MPL).
- A current and valid CAAP Class 1 Medical Certificate.
- A College Degree or its equivalent.
- English Language Proficiency Level 4 or above.
- A minimum of 200 hours of fixed-wing flight experience, or equivalent credited hours.
- Credited flight hours may include:
- Rotary wing and crop dusting time: 50% credited.
- Experimental category aircraft time: 0% credited hours.
- Second Officer/Third Crew (e.g., Systems Engineer) time: 50% credited.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in modern cockpit operations, including Electronic Flight Instrument Systems (EFIS) and Flight Management Systems (FMS).
- A comprehensive understanding of aviation regulations, flight planning principles, and operational documentation.
- Skilled in operating flight management systems, navigation, and aircraft performance monitoring.
