The Role: Cabin Crew Ambassador
The successful candidate functions as the airline’s ambassador, consistently striving to achieve exceptional customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image. This critical role ensures unparalleled customer service while safeguarding the comfort and security of all passengers throughout the complete flight cycle. The professional Cabin Crew member must maintain absolute fitness and legality to operate, thereby ensuring maximum productivity in adherence to established company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Result Responsibilities (KRR)
Aviation Safety and Compliance
- Ensures timely attendance, maintains impeccable grooming standards, confirms physical fitness, and verifies the legality of self prior to all assigned flights.
- Attends mandatory pre-flight briefings to assimilate flight details, roles distribution, security updates, and operational targets.
- Instructs passengers comprehensively on all required safety procedures, maintaining their safety and comfort at all times.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement immediate remedial action in accordance with established SOPs.
- Administers first aid promptly to passengers requiring medical attention.
- Reports any observed irregularities, security concerns, or equipment malfunctions promptly to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain, as required.
- Carries out thorough pre-flight checks to confirm the sufficiency of supplies, emergency equipment, catering stock, and other specified equipment; reports any deficiencies immediately.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge by attending mandatory recurrent training sessions, emergency procedure workshops, and ensuring the validity of all necessary licenses.
Customer Experience and In-Flight Service
- Warmly welcomes passengers and facilitates seamless boarding formalities; accurately enters necessary data into the aircraft log book as per regulatory (GCAA/CAA) and company procedures.
- Delivers consistently excellent customer service by attending meticulously to passengers’ individual requests, needs, and pre-booked services.
- Identifies and provides specialized assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, strictly following the guidelines detailed in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
- Contributes significantly to maximizing on-board revenue and supports the "Charity Cloud" program through the efficient promotion of in-flight meals, products, and charitable services, thereby achieving both individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the secure and accurate handling of all cash and credit card payments received from sales and donations.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and verifies that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked prior to subsequent flights.
- Conducts orderly and complete handover/takeover procedures of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, or maintenance staff.
- Carries out post-flight briefings and assessment reports, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, documenting any discrepancies, and ensuring the secure closure and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Is prepared to assume the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when officially designated as such by the Captain.
Candidate Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Professional Standards
- Age Requirement: Between 18 to 29 years for non-experienced crew; maximum of 33 years for experienced crew.
- Minimum Height: Female candidates must be a minimum of 160 cm; Male candidates must be a minimum of 170 cm.
- Weight: Must be proportional to the candidate’s age and height.
- Appearance: Requires clear skin with no visible marks, scars, or tattoos that would be apparent while wearing the mandated uniform.
- Physical Fitness: Must be medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties without restriction.
- Swimming Capability: The ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device is mandatory.
Academic and Skill Prerequisites
- Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is the minimum acceptable qualification. A diploma in Travel or Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training: Previous training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures (SEP) is highly valued.
- Health: Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Language: Mandatory fluency in both written and spoken English.
Work Experience and Attributes
- Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to submit their applications.
- Prior experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation or hospitality industries shall be treated as a significant advantage.
- Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is beneficial.
- The candidate must be fully capable of working in a dynamic shift pattern and must be available for extended working hours when operational demands require.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes in schedules and busy operational environments.
- Exhibits the consistent ability to deliver successfully against company policies, procedures, and defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
