About the Role

The Michigan Air National Guard is seeking a qualified Airplane Pilot to join their team at the MI 127 Wing, Operations Group. This Title 32 Excepted Service position requires military membership and involves piloting a unit-equipped aircraft while performing administrative tasks in support of Air Operations programs.

About the Role

This position entails piloting advanced military aircraft on tactical and non-tactical missions, utilizing precision instrument flight techniques. Responsibilities include flight preparation, which involves analyzing weather, planning routes, verifying aircraft readiness, and briefing crew members. During flight, the pilot will operate the aircraft with utmost safety, adhering to flight manuals, coordinating with ground units, and monitoring flight progress. Post-flight activities include maintaining logs, writing reports, and coordinating with maintenance. The incumbent will also serve as the Air Commander's representative when acting as Supervisor of Flying (SOF).
