About the Role

As an Airplane Pilot - Title 32, GS-2181-13, the incumbent will pilot assigned aircraft, employing advanced instrument flight techniques and adhering to stringent safety protocols in all weather conditions. Responsibilities include thorough mission preparation, including weather analysis, route planning, and preflight checks. Post-flight duties encompass log maintenance, report writing, and coordination with maintenance personnel. The role also entails serving as the Air Commander's representative as Supervisor of Flying (SOF), designing and implementing comprehensive training plans, and developing unit flying schedules in coordination with relevant agencies.
