About the Role
As an Airplane Pilot, incumbents will fly aircraft on assigned missions, adhering to precision instrument flight techniques and maintaining knowledge of aircraft systems. Responsibilities include thorough flight preparation, including weather analysis, route planning, and pre-flight checks, as well as post-flight activities such as logging flight data and coordinating with maintenance. The role may also include serving as Supervisor of Flying (SOF) and developing comprehensive training plans and schedules to ensure aircrew readiness.

Qualifications

Possess an appropriate Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) pilot certificate OR aviation certifications from accredited military aviation schools.

Must be C130J qualified.

Must have at least 24 months of experience operating a fixed-wing military aircraft, including mission planning and preparation.

Experience in reviewing and analyzing mission tasking, intelligence, and weather information.

Experience in filing flight plans and conducting crew briefings.

Experience in aircraft pre-flight inspections, aircraft loading, and equipment assessments.

Experience conducting/supervising training of crew members in mission-specific tasks.

Knowledge of flight theory, air navigation, meteorology, flying directives, mission tactics, and operating procedures.
