Job Title: Airplane Pilot (C-130)
Position Overview:
The Wyoming Air National Guard is seeking a qualified Airplane Pilot for the 153d Operations Support Squadron. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. The primary objective is to pilot C-130 aircraft and provide administrative support for the Air Operations program.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Pilot advanced multi-engine military aircraft on tactical and non-tactical missions using precision instrument flight techniques.

Execute comprehensive flight planning, including weather analysis, route determination, fuel requirements, and pre-flight inspections.

Ensure the safety of crew and passengers through thorough briefings and adherence to flight manual parameters.

Perform post-flight activities, including log maintenance, reporting, and coordination with maintenance personnel.

Serve as the Air Commander's representative in the capacity of Supervisor of Flying (SOF), ensuring safe and efficient mission accomplishment.

Communicate and coordinate with ground units and controlling activities during flight operations.
Mandatory Qualifications

Education:
An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university is required.

Experience:
Applicants must possess 24 months of specialized experience in aviation programs (civilian or military) and 24 months of experience piloting or instructing in C-130 aircraft.

Certifications:
Possession of Federal Aviation Administration pilot certificates or equivalent military certifications/ratings in the C-130H.

Training:
Graduation from USAF or USN Undergraduate Flying Training (UFT).

Military Requirement:
Must hold AFSC 11M (C-130 Mobility Pilot) and be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard prior to appointment.

Medical:
Ability to maintain standard USAF military pilot medical requirements.

Licensure:
Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Military Affiliation:
This position requires active military membership in the Wyoming Air National Guard.

Security Clearance:
Ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance for access to classified information.

Work Schedule:
Standard schedule is Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:30 pm; however, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required.

Travel:
May be required to travel via military or commercial air for conferences or official duties.

Suitability:
Continued employment is subject to a background investigation and potential two-year trial period.

Incentives:
Acceptance of this position terminates certain military incentives, including SRIP, TRS, and enlistment/retention/student loan repayment bonuses.

Military Grade Range:
O-2/1Lt to O-5/Lt Col. Candidates outside of this grade range will not be considered.
