Position Summary
The Wyoming Air National Guard is seeking a qualified Airplane Pilot for the 153d Operations Support Squadron. This role is responsible for piloting the C-130 aircraft on tactical and non-tactical missions, performing advanced precision instrument flight techniques, and executing critical administrative duties in support of air operations. The incumbent will serve as the Air Commander's representative while acting as the Supervisor of Flying (SOF), ensuring the safe and efficient accomplishment of unit missions.
Key Responsibilities

Operate multi-engine military aircraft using advanced flight techniques and air navigation aids.

Conduct comprehensive pre-flight planning, including weather analysis, route mapping, fuel calculation, and crew/passenger briefings.

Ensure safe aircraft operation in accordance with flight manuals, including communication with ground units and execution of emergency procedures.

Manage post-flight documentation, including log maintenance, flight reporting, and coordination with maintenance personnel.

Monitor unit performance, including adherence to safety, explosive, and ground safety programs.
Mandatory Qualifications

Education:
Must possess an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.

Training:
Must have graduated from USAF or USN Undergraduate Flying Training (UFT).

Certification:
Must possess Federal Aviation Administration pilot certificates or appropriate military certifications/ratings in the C-130H.

Specialized Experience:
Minimum of 24 months of experience in aviation programs (civilian or military) and at least 24 months of experience piloting or instructing in C-130 aircraft. Experience must encompass mission planning, operations monitoring, unit safety program compliance, and airspace coordination.

Military Requirements:
Must be or be willing to become a military member of the Wyoming Air National Guard. Must possess AFSC 11M (C-130 Mobility Pilot).

Military Grade:
Minimum O-2/1Lt; Maximum O-5/Lt Col.

Licensing:
Valid driver’s license required.
Conditions of Employment

Must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance for access to classified information.

Must maintain medical standards required for USAF military pilots.

Position may require work outside of normal duty hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

May be required to travel by military or commercial air.

Subject to a background investigation for federal suitability.

Must be a current member of the Air Force, Air Force Reserves, or Air National Guard to be considered.
Area of Consideration
This position is open to current permanent and indefinite Wyoming ANG T32 Dual Status technicians, current Wyoming ANG military members, and current military service members (USAF, Air Force Reserve, or other states' ANG) willing to transfer to the Wyoming Air National Guard.
