Position Overview: This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service, non-bargaining unit position. The role is for an Airplane Pilot (Position Description Number D0253P02) with the Montana Air National Guard, 120 OSS.

Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent serves as an Airplane Pilot for advanced, single or multi-engine military aircraft and high-performance tactical fighter aircraft. Responsibilities include executing tactical and non-tactical missions using precision instrument flight techniques, conducting point-to-point domestic and foreign flights, and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems under all flight conditions.

Key operational duties include:

Administrative and Program Support: Incumbents may rotate through functional areas including Training and Scheduling, Plans, Safety, and the Inspector General’s office. Duties include designing training scenarios, developing wartime/peacetime contingency plans, administering explosive and ground safety programs, and managing the Commander’s Inspection Program (CCIP).
