The Air National Guard (ANG) Aviation Wing, Operations Group, specifically the CA 144 FW, is currently seeking a highly qualified Airplane Pilot (Accelerated Hire) to join their unit. This position supports the Air Operations program through both specialized flight operations and administrative duties.
This is a T32 Excepted Service position that may be filled on a permanent, indefinite, or temporary basis. Applications are reviewed on a rolling 30-day basis, and the announcement will remain open until all available positions are filled.
The primary function of this role is to pilot unit-equipped (UE) aircraft. Responsibilities include:
Candidates must possess a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification from an accredited civilian aviation program or an aviation certification from an accredited military aviation school. Candidates must also have at least one year of on-the-job experience in the grade or comparable military rank immediately below the next higher level.
Specialized Experience (GS-2181-13): Candidates must demonstrate 36 months of specialized experience in operating specific main-frame military aircraft, mission planning, and mission preparation, including deep knowledge of flight theory, air navigation, meteorology, and flying directives.
