Job Summary
The Wyoming Air National Guard is seeking a qualified Airplane Pilot for a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position within the 153d Operations Support Squadron. The primary responsibility of this role is to pilot C-130 aircraft and provide administrative support to the Air Operations program.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Pilot advanced multi-engine military aircraft on tactical and non-tactical missions using precision instrument flight techniques.

Conduct comprehensive flight planning, including weather analysis, route mapping, fuel requirement calculations, and aircraft preflight inspections.

Ensure crew and passenger briefings are completed and all necessary flight clearances are obtained.

Operate aircraft safely while adhering to flight manuals, coordinating with ground control, and executing emergency procedures as required.

Perform post-flight administrative duties, including maintaining logs, writing flight reports, and coordinating with maintenance personnel.

Serve as the Air Commander’s representative when performing duties as Supervisor of Flying (SOF).
Mandatory Qualifications

Education:
Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university is required.

Aviation Certification:
Must possess Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certifications or aviation certifications from accredited military aviation schools.

Training:
Must have graduated from USAF or USN Undergraduate Flying Training (UFT).

Specialized Experience:
Minimum of 24 months of experience in military or civilian aviation, including at least 24 months of experience piloting or instructing in C-130 aircraft. This includes experience in mission planning, unit safety programs, and federal airspace flight training.

Military Requirement:
Must possess AFSC 11M, C-130 Mobility Pilot, and be eligible to serve in the Wyoming Air National Guard (eligible ranks: O-2/1Lt to O-5/Lt Col).

Medical/Safety:
Must maintain USAF pilot medical standards and possess a valid driver’s license.
Conditions of Employment

Applicants must be current members of the Air Force, Air Force Reserves, or an Air National Guard unit, or be eligible and willing to join the Wyoming Air National Guard.

Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance for access to classified information.

Position may require travel via military or commercial air.

Work schedule is Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:30 pm; however, the position may require work during evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Federal employment suitability is determined via a background investigation.

Acceptance of this position may terminate certain military incentives, including SRIP and TRICARE Reserve Select.
