Summary:
This National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service position is located at the unit level within an Air National Guard (ANG) Aviation Wing, Operations Group. The primary purpose of this role is to pilot unit-equipped (UE) aircraft while providing administrative support for the Air Operations program.
Key Responsibilities

Pilot advanced, single or multi-engine military fighter aircraft on tactical and non-tactical missions using precision instrument flight techniques.

Execute flight procedures and maneuvers within established flight parameters and weather conditions.

Conduct comprehensive flight planning, including weather analysis, route mapping, fuel requirements, and flight plan filing.

Perform pre-flight inspections, weight and balance verification, and crew briefings.

Maintain continuous communication with ground units and controlling activities, ensuring safe operation and corrective action during emergencies.

Complete post-flight activities, including logbook maintenance, flight reports, and maintenance coordination.

Serve as the Supervisor of Flying (SOF), representing the Air Commander with authority to manage mission requirements, airspace utilization, and emergency operations.

Participate in administrative support functional areas: Training and Scheduling, Plans, Safety, and Inspector General programs.
Qualifications and Mandatory Requirements

Military Membership:
Applicants must be current members of the National Guard or eligible for immediate membership and employment in the military grade (O-1 through O-4) associated with this announcement.

Education:
A mandatory undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university. A graduate degree is considered optimum.

Aviation Training:
Graduation from USAF or USN Undergraduate Flying Training (UFT).

Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience in civilian or military aviation programs. Must possess competence in piloting, instructing, mission planning, and safety program management for specific military airframes.

Certification/Licensing:
Must maintain USAF military pilot medical standards. Must possess a valid state driver's license and qualify to operate government motor vehicles.

Security Clearance:
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for access to classified information.

Regulatory Compliance:
Males born after December 31, 1959, must be registered for Selective Service.
Conditions of Employment

Acceptance of this excepted service position requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Oklahoma Air National Guard.

Work may require travel by military or commercial air.

Work may require performance of duties outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
