The Air National Guard (ANG) Aviation Wing, Operations Group, at the CA 144 FW, is seeking a qualified Airplane Pilot (Accelerated Hire) for an excepted service position. This is an open-until-filled announcement, with applications reviewed every 30 days.
The primary responsibility of this role is to pilot unit-equipped (UE) aircraft while performing administrative tasks in support of the Air Operations program. Appointments may be permanent, indefinite, or temporary, with potential for conversion or extension based on funding and agency requirements.
Candidates must possess a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification from an accredited civilian program or an aviation certification from an accredited military aviation school. Applicants must also possess at least one year of on-the-job experience in the grade or comparable military rank immediately below the next higher level.
Candidates for the GS-2181-13 level must demonstrate at least 36 months of specialized competence in operating specific main-frame military aircraft, mission planning, and mission preparation. Applicants will be evaluated on competencies in Education and Training Program Administration, Operation and Control, Planning and Evaluating, and Safety and Security.
