Job Title: Airplane Pilot (C-130)
Position Summary:
The Wyoming Air National Guard is seeking a qualified Airplane Pilot for a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position within the 153d Operations Support Squadron. This role is responsible for piloting the C-130 aircraft and providing administrative support to the Air Operations program. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring military affiliation.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Pilot advanced multi-engine military aircraft on tactical and non-tactical missions, utilizing precision instrument flight techniques and air navigational aids.

Conduct comprehensive flight planning, including weather analysis, route determination, fuel requirements, and aircraft preflight inspections.

Ensure the safety and briefing of all crew members and passengers.

Maintain strict adherence to flight manuals, safety parameters, and communication protocols with ground units.

Execute post-flight activities, including documentation of logs, forms, and reports, and coordinate necessary maintenance actions.

Serve as the Air Commander’s representative when performing duties as Supervisor of Flying (SOF), ensuring mission efficiency and safety.
Mandatory Qualifications:

Education:
Must hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.

Certification:
Must possess Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certifications or equivalent military aviation certifications. Must have graduated from USAF or USN Undergraduate Flying Training (UFT).

Specialized Experience:
Minimum of 24 months of aviation experience (civilian or military) and at least 24 months of experience piloting or instructing in C-130 aircraft. Must demonstrate expertise in mission planning, unit safety programs, operational risk management, and airspace management.

Military Requirement:
Must possess AFSC 11M, C-130 Mobility Pilot. Must be in, or be willing to join, the Wyoming Air National Guard prior to appointment.

Rank Requirements:
Minimum O-2/1Lt; Maximum O-5/Lt Col.

Licensure:
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Conditions of Employment:

Must be a current active-duty Air Force, Air Force Reserve, or Air National Guard member.

Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance for access to classified information.

Must maintain medical standards equivalent to USAF military pilots.

Willingness to travel via military or commercial air as required.

Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Subject to a background investigation to determine federal employment suitability.

Successful completion of a two-year trial period may be required.

Acceptance of this position will terminate specific military incentives, including SRIP, TRS, and various enlistment/retention bonuses.

Additional Information:
The position is based on a Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm work schedule. While primary physical presence is required, situational telework may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
