A330/A350 First Officer
Air Mauritius is seeking highly skilled and motivated pilots to join our esteemed flight crew as First Officers on our modern A330/A350 fleet. Basic Requirements for Flight Crew
All candidates must meet the following fundamental criteria to be considered for a flight crew position:
- Age: Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age at the date of application and a maximum of 55 years of age at the closing date of this notice.
- Medical Certification: A valid Class 1 Medical Certificate is mandatory. Air Mauritius reserves the right to decline applications based on medical restrictions.
- License: A valid pilot license issued by an ICAO member state, or an equivalent acceptable to the Mauritius Department of Civil Aviation, is required.
- Academic Qualifications: Candidates must satisfy one of the following academic requirements:
- A passing grade in the School Certificate or its equivalent, with a minimum Grade B in Mathematics.
- A passing grade in the School Certificate or its equivalent, in conjunction with a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
- A passing grade in the Final Secondary Education Certificate, including Mathematics or Physics.
- Compliance: Candidates must be able to meet all requirements set forth by local authorities.
- Assessment: Successful completion of the Air Mauritius Technical Examination is a prerequisite for employment.
Specific Qualifications for A330/A350 First Officer
In addition to the basic requirements, candidates for the First Officer position must possess the following specific qualifications:
- License: A valid ATPL with a current Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (ME-IR).
- Total Flight Hours: A minimum of 1,500 total flight hours on EASA PART 25 aircraft.
- Type Rating: A current jet type rating on either A320, A330, A340, A350, or A380, with a minimum of 500 hours on the type-rated aircraft.
- Recent Flight Experience: A minimum of 150 hours flown on the type-rated aircraft within the last 12 months.

- A copy of the front page of the candidate's passport.
- Testimonials and/or letters of reference.
- A Police Clearance Certificate or Certificate of Character (optional at the time of application, but mandatory before the Psychometric Test).
