Air India Group Captain Opportunity at Air India Express
Air India Group is seeking highly experienced aviation professionals to join Air India Express as Captains. This exceptional opportunity is open to Non-Type Rated Captains possessing a wealth of flying experience and a dedication to aviation safety and excellence.
Candidate Profile:
Air India Express seeks experienced Captains who meet the following criteria:
- Non-Type Rated P1s: Candidates must hold the qualification of Pilot in Command.
- Commercial Jet Experience: A minimum of 500 hours of flight time on Commercial Jets is required.
- Turboprop & PIC Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 3000 total flight hours, with 1000 hours of airline experience on Turboprop aircraft, and a minimum of 500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) with a Scheduled Operator.
- Turboprop & Non-Scheduled Operator Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of 3000 total flight hours, with 1000 hours of airline experience on Turboprop aircraft, and a minimum of 1500 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC) on a Non-Scheduled Operator with an All Up Weight exceeding 15 tons.
- Military Jet Experience: Candidates with a minimum of 500 hours on Military Jets exceeding 70 tons (such as IL-76, C-17, B777, A320, PC-3 Orion) are encouraged to apply.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be 60 years of age or younger.
Essential Requirements:
- Nationality: Candidates must be either Indian Nationals or Overseas Citizens of India.
- Pilot License: A valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) or Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) is required, along with a current and valid Instrument Rating (IR), Pilot's Proficiency Check, Flight Radiotelephony Operator's License (FRTOL) and Certificate of Proficiency/Radiotelephony (COP/RTR).
- Medical Fitness: Candidates must hold a valid Class I Medical Fitness Assessment Certificate.
- English Language Proficiency: A minimum ICAO Aviation English Language Proficiency Level Four, or above, endorsed on an Indian ATPL is mandatory.
- Safety Record: Candidates must provide a certificate of an incident/accident-free record, along with details of any enforcement action, including breath analyzer results, taken against the license holder by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) within the preceding three years.
- Availability: Preference will be given to candidates who are available to join immediately.
- eGCA ID: A mandatory eGCA-id with all licenses and documents validated is required.
