As part of the Air France-KLM group, a major global player in air transport and a pioneer in sustainable aviation, Air France operates the leading long-haul network from Europe. The group's core businesses include passenger transport, cargo, and aeronautical maintenance.
In a period of strong growth, Air France is offering a fully financed Pilot Cadet training pathway. This program is specifically designed for individuals with little to no prior piloting experience. Over 24 months, the comprehensive training fully funded by Air France will equip candidates to become airline pilots. Candidates holding a CPL license at the time of application are directed to apply exclusively through the "Professional Pilot" pathway.
Airline piloting is a highly demanding profession requiring a profound passion for flight, enthusiasm, and commitment, alongside significant intellectual, psychological, and physical aptitudes. Proficiency in English is also essential.
The airline pilot is responsible for the piloting, navigation, management of radio communications, and technical monitoring of the aircraft. Pilots are classified as Captains (CDB) and First Officers (OPL). The Captain holds authority over the entire crew and passengers, making all necessary decisions from flight preparation to closure, with absolute priority given to ensuring the safety and security of the flight. The First Officer (or co-pilot) is second in the crew hierarchy. Each crew consists of a Captain and at least one First Officer.
Upon finalizing the application by the specified deadline (July 15th, 2025, including payment of fees or declaration of scholarship status), candidates will be contacted starting August 25th, 2025, by a pre-selection provider. This contact will involve setting up the computer for the PSY0 pre-selection tests, scheduled for September 5th and 6th, 2025.
Successful candidates from the PSY0 stage will be invited to the PSY1 phase, comprising various psychotechnical and psychomotor tests. This one-day assessment will take place at the ENAC campus in Toulouse between October 22nd and November 4th, 2025, inclusive. Success in the PSY1 phase leads to an invitation to the PSY2 tests, starting mid-December, which include two personality inventories, a group exercise, and an individual interview.
Candidates must ensure they meet all prerequisites and conditions for application. Applications are accepted solely via the online application link provided within the job offer. Submissions by mail will not be processed. This online application process is mandatory for all candidates, regardless of their training background or previous application status (new candidate, previous applicant, or participant in prior pilot selections).
To ensure the application is admissible, candidates must attach the following documents to their candidate profile before July 15th, 2025. The TOEIC result may be submitted later, by October 1st, 2025. No refunds will be issued if candidates do not meet the prerequisites and conditions.
Upon registering the application, candidates will receive an email from the provider with a link to pay the 160€ application fee required to validate the application. French government scholarship holders (based on social criteria) are exempt but must still connect via the link and indicate their scholarship status. Candidates are advised to check spam/junk folders for the confirmation message and payment link and to retain the email address used throughout the selection process.
