Air Canada | BD-500 First Officer

Air Canada is seeking qualified individuals to join their flight operations team as First Officers based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This general recruitment posting is open to pilots not currently employed by AC-Express, offering opportunities on various fleet types, from Airbus A-220 to Boeing B-777.

About the Role

As a First Officer with Air Canada, new hires typically commence their careers on domestic aircraft or as Relief Pilots on long-range international flights. The role involves operating a diverse fleet across multiple crew bases, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the airline's extensive network.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2000 hours of fixed-wing flying time.
• Ability to successfully pass Air Canada and Transport Canada medical examinations for a Category 1 medical certificate, including visual acuity requirements.
• Possession of a Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) with a current Group 1 (Multi-engine) Instrument Rating.
• Must hold a Canadian passport.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
• Eligibility to work in Canada and travel without restriction across the Air Canada network.

Qualifications

While the following are not mandatory basic requirements, preference is given to candidates demonstrating qualifications beyond the minimums, given the high volume of applications:

• Graduation from a three- or four-year diploma or degree program from a college or university.
• An Aviation College degree or diploma.
• Commercial or military flight experience.
• Jet and/or turbo-prop multi-crew experience.
