Ab-Initio Pilot Training Program

About the Role

• This position serves as a training pathway for aspiring pilots, rather than a direct line-flight assignment.
• Successful candidates will undergo 16–18 months of ab-initio pilot training at European flight schools.
• The program includes various assessment stages to ensure suitability for a pilot career.
• Upon successful completion of training, participants will receive type-rating and commence employment with Air Astana.
• No specific aircraft type or routine line-flight duties are assigned during the training phase.

Requirements

• Citizenship: Applicants must be citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
• Age: Candidates must be between 18 and 34 years old.
• Education: Completion of secondary or vocational education is required.
• Language Proficiency: English language skills at an Intermediate level or higher are necessary. An English test or IELTS 6.0 / TOEFL 79 will be administered.
• Academic Background: Basic knowledge of mathematics and physics is expected.
• Medical Fitness: A valid Class 1 Medical Certificate is mandatory.
• Criminal Record: Applicants must have no criminal record.
• Travel Documents: A valid passport is required, along with eligibility for a Schengen visa.
• Selection Process: The selection includes SHL aptitude testing, COMPASS testing, a simulator assessment, a group exercise, and an individual interview.
• Application Window: Applications are accepted year-round.
