Aviation Training Supervisor
This individual assists the line manager in ensuring the Core Flying Phase of the MPL program adheres to the regulatory, safety, and training standards established by the GCAA and T3 Aviation Academy. They will contribute to the oversight and monitoring of flight training activities conducted at each approved contracted service provider base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supports the supervision and monitoring of all flight instructors, ensuring strict adherence to regulations and procedures during training.
- Executes an annual standardization program for flight instructors to ensure consistent delivery of flight instruction.
- Contributes to the development and implementation of a training plan for newly appointed flight instructors, assessing their suitability for training academy trainees.
- Maintains a robust assessment process to guarantee the quality of flight instruction.
- Supervises trainee performance and, when necessary, implements remedial training as directed by the line manager.
- Remains current on developments, trends, and advancements in regulations and procedures within relevant aviation fields.
- Recommends improvements to the flight training syllabi as necessary.
- Maintains accurate records of trainee flight instruction, initiating corrective actions when needed, or as directed by the line manager.
- Assists in maintaining optimal flight instructor availability based on course requirements and trainee enrollment, working with the contracted training provider.
- Maintains precise records of flight instructor qualifications and training, as outlined in the T3 Aviation Academy OM-D, and uploads all essential documentation into the flight training management software.
- Documents staff and trainee recency and ensures compliance with current regulations.
- Keeps an up-to-date record of all flight instructor flight and duty times, ensuring that limitations are never exceeded.
- Monitors and enforces compliance with flight and duty time limitations for both flight instructors and trainees, reporting and investigating any violations.
- Reports any non-compliance by the contracted training provider with regulations or provisions of academy manuals to the line manager.
- Identifies and reports all safety-related incidents, regardless of severity, to the appropriate manager.
- Performs all additional duties as assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with an Instrument Rating (IR).
- Minimum of 1000 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC), with 500 hours in single-engine aircraft.
- High school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in aviation management or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 200 hours of Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) time, and 500 hours as a Flight Instructor (FI).
- Possession of a valid Class One medical certificate issued by the state of license.
- Successful completion of an MPL instructor training course at a GCAA-approved ATO.
Work Experience:
- Five or more years of experience in a similar role, with at least two years as a Flight Instructor.
- Comprehensive understanding of aviation regulations, procedures, and best practices in flight training.
- In-depth knowledge of aviation safety procedures.
- Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Urdu or other languages is advantageous.
- Knowledge of GCAA rules and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and conversant with FlightLogger FMS.
