Job Purpose

The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and projecting a positive corporate image. This role is instrumental in enhancing the overall customer experience by providing excellent service to all passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. Candidates must be prepared and fit to operate efficiently, aligning with established productivity measures and the company's adopted policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct

  • Ensures punctual attendance, maintains proper grooming standards, and remains fit and legally compliant for assigned flights. Participates in pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.

Safety Measures

  • Instructs passengers on necessary safety procedures to ensure their well-being and comfort at all times.
  • Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Administers first aid to passengers as required.
  • Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain, as appropriate.

Customer Service

  • Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, accurately entering required data into the aircraft logbook in compliance with Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
  • Delivers consistently excellent customer service by attending to passengers' individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
  • Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following established policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
  • Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team targets.
  • Ensures the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations managed by the crew member.

Crosschecking and Reports

  • Conducts pre-flight checks to confirm the availability of sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering items, and other specified equipment before take-off. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
  • Assists in ensuring thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provisioned before flights.
  • Ensures orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
  • Carries out post-flight briefing and assessment reports in accordance with adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight-related issues or discrepancies, and overseeing the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
  • Reports to the Cabin Supervisor regarding passenger conduct and performs the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
  • Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge through recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, ensuring a current license.
  • Contributes to team objectives by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets.

Important Requirements

  • Age: Between 18 to 29 years for non-experienced crew; maximum 33 years for experienced crew.
  • Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
  • Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
  • Skin: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Medical/Physical Fitness: Must be medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
  • Swimming Proficiency: Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.

Qualifications

  • Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered an advantage.
  • Training: First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures training are beneficial.
  • Health: Fit to fly status, good general health, and absence of serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Language: Fluent in written and spoken English is mandatory.

Work Experience

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries will be considered an added advantage.
  • An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
  • Availability to work a shift pattern and for extended working hours.
  • High flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
