Job Purpose

The Cabin Crew member serves as a distinguished brand ambassador for Air Arabia, consistently striving to cultivate profound customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image through enhanced passenger experience. The primary objective is to deliver exceptional aviation customer service, ensuring the security, safety, and optimal comfort of all passengers are achieved throughout the complete flight cycle.

This role demands that the individual remains operationally ready and medically fit to fly, ensuring productivity levels are maintained strictly in line with all established measures, company policies, and adopted operational procedures.

Key Result Responsibilities

Operational Conduct

  • Ensures timely reporting, adherence to impeccable grooming standards, and verification of legality and fitness to operate all assigned flights.
  • Actively participates in mandatory pre-flight briefings to assimilate all critical flight details, role distribution, security protocols, and boarding requirements.

Safety and Emergency Procedures (SEP)

  • Provides clear, comprehensive instructions to passengers regarding all required safety procedures, maintaining the highest standards of passenger safety and comfort at all times.
  • Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating immediately with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in strict accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Administers essential first aid to passengers where necessary.
  • Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any observed irregularities, malfunctions, or discrepancies during the flight.

Customer Service Excellence

  • Welcomes passengers and provides assistance during boarding formalities; accurately enters necessary data into the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
  • Delivers constant, excellent customer service by meticulously attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and specific passenger needs.
  • Identifies and provides professional assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, strictly following corresponding policies detailed in the Operations Manual.
  • Contributes significantly to maximizing on-board ancillary revenue and supporting the “Charity Cloud” program by efficiently promoting on-board meals, products, and services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
  • Ensures the proper, secure, and accurate handling of all cash and credit card payments received against individual sales and donations managed by the crew member.

Cross-Checking and Reports

  • Carries out comprehensive pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering apparatus, and other specified items are present prior to take-off; reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as required.
  • Assists in verifying the thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and ensures adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before subsequent flights.
  • Manages the orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin environment to/from maintenance, cleaning, and catering staff.
  • Conducts post-flight briefings and completes detailed assessment reports as per adopted policies, including providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any flight-related problems or discrepancies.
  • Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of passengers; capable of executing the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when officially designated by the Captain.
  • Maintains professional and safety knowledge by actively attending all required recurrent training sessions, emergency procedures workshops, and ensuring the license remains current and valid.
  • Contributes actively to overall team effort by successfully accomplishing related results and achieving all allocated sales targets and objectives.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

Important Physical Requirements

  • Age: Must be between 21 and 29 years for non-experienced crew, with a maximum age of 33 years acceptable for experienced cabin crew.
  • Minimum Height: 160 cm for female applicants, 170 cm for male applicants.
  • Weight: Must be in proportion to the applicant's age and height.
  • Appearance: Requires clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the official cabin crew uniform.
  • Fitness: Must be medically and physically fit to perform all required Cabin Crew duties.
  • Swimming Ability: Must possess the ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.

Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)

  • A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is the acceptable academic standard; a diploma focused on Travel or Tourism is considered advantageous.
  • Training certifications in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are deemed an added value.
  • Candidates must be fit to fly, maintain excellent general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Language: Fluency in both written and spoken English is mandatory for this role.

Work Experience and Competencies

  • Fresh graduates entering the industry are strongly encouraged to submit applications.
  • Previous professional experience as Cabin Crew or in a robust customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is considered a significant asset.
  • Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is highly advantageous.
  • Candidates must demonstrate capability for working flexible shift patterns and accommodating extended working hours as operational demands require.
  • Demonstrates high flexibility and strong adaptability to frequent operational changes and busy schedules inherent in the airline environment.
  • Must exhibit the ability to successfully contribute to and deliver outcomes against defined policies, procedures, and established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
