Role Overview: Aviation Ambassador and Safety Expert

The Cabin Crew Specialist functions as the airline's official ambassador, continually striving to foster customer loyalty and project a positive corporate image. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver a premium customer experience while meticulously ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of all passengers throughout the complete flight cycle. The Specialist must maintain physical and operational fitness and readiness, ensuring productivity remains consistently aligned with established company policies and operational measures.

Key Result Responsibilities

Operational Conduct and Preparedness

  1. Ensures timely attendance, impeccable grooming standards, operational fitness, and legal readiness for all assigned flights.
  2. Attends mandatory flight briefings to confirm acknowledgement of flight details, role distributions, security protocols, assigned targets, and boarding procedures.

In-Flight Safety and Security Measures

  1. Instructs passengers comprehensively on all required safety procedures, guaranteeing their continuous safety and comfort throughout the journey.
  2. Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates promptly with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions strictly in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  3. Administers necessary first aid care to passengers when required.
  4. Reports all irregularities and equipment malfunctions immediately and accurately to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain, as appropriate.

Premium Customer Experience and Revenue Generation

  1. Extends a welcoming greeting to passengers and assists efficiently with all boarding formalities; records necessary data accurately into the aircraft log book as mandated by regulatory and company procedures.
  2. Delivers consistently excellent customer service by promptly addressing individual pre-bookings, bespoke requests, and passenger needs.
  3. Identifies and provides sensitive assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following corresponding policies detailed in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
  4. Contributes actively to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the designated "Charity Cloud" program through efficient promotion of on-board meals, retail products, and charitable services, thereby achieving both individual and team sales targets.
  5. Ensures the secure and accurate handling of all cash and credit card payments received from individual sales and donations.

Reporting and Crosschecking

  1. Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to confirm adequate supplies, fully operational emergency equipment, catering materials, and other specified equipment are present prior to take-off; reports any deficiencies immediately to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
  2. Assists in verifying that the aircraft cabin is cleaned meticulously at transit stations and that all re-catering and duty-free products are stocked sufficiently before the next flight leg.
  3. Ensures an orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
  4. Executes post-flight briefings and comprehensive assessment reports as per adopted policies, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, documenting any flight discrepancies, and confirming the correct closure and sealing of duty-free containers.
  5. Maintains accountability to the Cabin Supervisor for the general conduct of passengers and is prepared to assume the duties of Cabin Supervisor when formally designated by the Captain.
  6. Continuously maintains necessary professional and safety competency by participating in recurrent trainings, emergency procedures workshops, and ensuring the validity of all required licenses.
  7. Contributes effectively to overall team success by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales objectives and targets.

Essential Candidate Requirements

Physical and Operational Standards

  • Age: Must be between 18 and 29 years for candidates without prior experience, or a maximum of 33 years for experienced crew members.
  • Minimum Height: 160 cm for female applicants; 170 cm for male applicants.
  • Weight: Must be proportional to the applicant's age and height.
  • Appearance: Requires clear skin with no marks or tattoos that would be visible while wearing the standard cabin crew uniform.
  • Fitness: Must be medically and physically fit to perform all required Cabin Crew duties.
  • Safety Skill: Must possess the ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.

Qualifications and Languages

  • Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is the minimum acceptable qualification; a diploma focused on Travel or Tourism is considered advantageous.
  • Training: Possession of training certificates in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is a significant added value.
  • Health: Must be certified as fit to fly, demonstrating good general health without serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
  • Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Language: Must be fluently proficient in both Written and Spoken English.

Work Experience and Attributes

  • Experience Level: Recent graduates and individuals new to the industry are encouraged to submit applications.
  • Prior Experience: Previous professional experience as cabin crew or within a high-level customer service role in the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality Industries will be treated as an added value.
