The Role: Cabin Crew Specialist (Brand Ambassador)
The Cabin Crew Specialist serves as a dedicated ambassador for Air Arabia, striving consistently to achieve paramount customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image throughout all interactions. The core objective of this role is to deliver superior customer service while rigorously ensuring passenger safety and comfort across the entire flight cycle. The Specialist must maintain exceptional operational fitness and readiness to ensure productivity aligns with established company policies and performance metrics.
Key Performance Responsibilities (KPRs)
Operational Conduct and Safety
- Ensures timely attendance, impeccable personal grooming, physical fitness, and legal compliance for all assigned flight duties.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to confirm comprehensive knowledge of flight details, role distribution, sales targets, and security procedures.
- Instructs passengers comprehensively on safety procedures, ensuring the highest level of safety and comfort throughout the flight.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks promptly and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement immediate remedial actions in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers essential first aid to passengers when required.
- Promptly reports any operational irregularities or equipment malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain as dictated by protocol.
Customer Experience and Service Excellence
- Welcomes passengers cordially and assists with boarding formalities; accurately enters necessary data into the aircraft log book as per regulatory (GCAA/CAA) and company procedures.
- Delivers consistent and excellent customer service by meticulously attending to pre-bookings, personalized requests, and specific passenger needs.
- Identifies and provides necessary support to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering strictly to corresponding policies detailed within the Operations Manual.
- Contributes actively to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the “Charity Cloud” program through efficient promotion of on-board meals, retail products, and charity services, thereby meeting individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the proper, secure, and accurate handling of all cash and credit card transactions received from sales and donations.
Compliance, Crosschecking, and Reporting
- Executes thorough pre-flight checks to verify the sufficiency of supplies, emergency equipment, catering stock, and other specialized equipment prior to departure, reporting all deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
- Assists in verifying the thorough cleaning of the aircraft cabin during transit stations and confirming adequate provision of re-catering items and duty-free products before the next flight segment.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, or maintenance staff.
- Conducts post-flight assessments and briefings as per adopted policies, providing objective evaluations and reporting any flight discrepancies.
- Maintains required professional and safety knowledge and license currency by consistently attending recurrent training, emergency procedures workshops, and educational programs.
- Successfully contributes to team objectives by accomplishing assigned sales targets and achieving related operational results.
Essential Candidate Prerequisites
Candidates must meet the following mandatory physical and regulatory criteria:
- Age: Must be between 18 and 29 years for non-experienced candidates, with a maximum age of 33 years for experienced crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for Female applicants; 170 cm for Male applicants.
- Weight: Must be proportionate to the applicant's age and height.
- Appearance: Requires clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the standard cabin crew uniform.
- Physical Fitness: Must be certified medically and physically fit to perform all aspects of Cabin Crew duties.
- Water Competency: Demonstrated ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Academic Qualifications and Training
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is the minimum academic requirement for this position; a Diploma in Travel or Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training certificates in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are highly valued.
- Candidates must be fit to fly, possessing good general health with no serious or chronic medical conditions.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Language Fluency: Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
Work Experience and Professional Traits
