The Role: Aviation Ambassador and Safety Professional

The Cabin Crew member serves as the official ambassador of Air Arabia, constantly striving to cultivate exceptional customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image. This position is central to enhancing the overall passenger experience by providing world-class customer service while rigorously ensuring the safety, comfort, and well-being of all passengers throughout the complete flight cycle. The candidate must maintain peak fitness and readiness to operate efficiently, ensuring high productivity in strict adherence to company policies and adopted procedures.

Key Result Responsibilities

Operational Conduct and Compliance

  • Ensures timely attendance, maintains impeccable grooming standards, and verifies personal fitness and legality for all assigned flights.
  • Attends the mandatory pre-flight Briefing to acknowledge all flight details, understand role distribution, sales targets, and specific security requirements.
  • Maintains professional knowledge and safety competency through recurrent training, emergency procedures workshops, and ensuring the validity of their current flight license.

Safety and Emergency Measures

  • Instructs passengers comprehensively on all required safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Identifies and proactively manages areas of safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement immediate remedial action in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Administers essential first aid to passengers when required.
  • Promptly reports any irregularities, malfunctions, or discrepancies to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and the Captain, as appropriate.

Customer Service Excellence and Sales

  • Provides a warm welcome to all passengers and assists with boarding formalities; accurately inputs necessary data into the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia, GCAA, and CAA regulations.
  • Delivers consistently excellent customer service, proactively addressing individual pre-bookings, specific requests, and general passenger needs.
  • Identifies and provides professional assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following corresponding policies detailed in the Operations Manual.
  • Contributes significantly to maximizing on-board ancillary revenue and supporting the “Charity Cloud” program through the efficient promotion of on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
  • Ensures the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received from sales and donations.

Pre- and Post-Flight Reporting

  • Conducts meticulous pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items prior to departure; reports any noted deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
  • Assists in verifying that the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked before subsequent flights.
  • Manages the orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to or from catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
  • Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per adopted procedures, including the objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight discrepancies, and ensuring the secure sealing of duty-free containers.
  • Acts as the designated Cabin Supervisor when required by the Captain, assuming responsibility for passenger conduct and operational oversight.

Essential Candidate Requirements (Aviation Eligibility)

  • Age: Must be between 18 and 29 years for non-experienced crew. Experienced cabin crew applicants are eligible up to a maximum age of 33 years.
  • Minimum Height: 160 cm for female applicants, and 170 cm for male applicants.
  • Weight: Must be proportional to the applicant’s age and height.
  • Appearance: Possesses clear skin with no visible marks, scars, or tattoos that would be apparent while wearing the mandated cabin crew uniform.
  • Health: Must be medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
  • Safety Skill: Must demonstrate the ability to swim using a flotation device.

Academic Qualifications and Language Proficiency

  • A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma specializing in Travel or Tourism is considered advantageous.
  • Training certifications in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are preferred.
  • Candidates must be fit to fly, maintain good general health, and have no serious medical or chronic diseases.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications is required.
  • Language: Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory for this role.

Experience and Attributes

  • Fresh graduates possessing strong interpersonal skills are highly encouraged to apply for this entry-level aviation position.
  • Previous experience in a Cabin Crew role or dedicated customer service experience within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is considered a significant asset.
  • Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is an advantage.
  • Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent operational changes and busy schedules.
  • Must be capable of working in shift patterns and for extended working hours as dictated by flight schedules.
  • The candidate must exhibit the ability to successfully contribute to team objectives and deliver results against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and internal procedures.
