Professional Cabin Crew Member / Flight Attendant

Job Purpose Overview

The Cabin Crew Member serves as a dedicated brand ambassador for the airline, relentlessly striving to achieve and maintain robust customer loyalty while promoting a positive corporate image across all interactions. The professional is fundamentally responsible for enhancing the overall passenger experience by providing outstanding customer service, all while rigorously ensuring the safety and comfort of every passenger throughout the complete flight cycle. The successful candidate must consistently maintain operational readiness and fitness to operate, ensuring productivity aligns precisely with established organizational policies and performance measures.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Operational Conduct and Readiness

  • Ensures punctual attendance, immaculate grooming, physical fitness, and legal compliance (licensing) prior to all assigned flights.
  • Actively participates in all mandatory pre-flight briefings to assimilate critical flight details, understand role distribution, confirm security checks, and finalize boarding logistics.
  • Maintains professional and safety knowledge through mandatory recurrent training, emergency procedure drills, educational workshops, and ensuring the validity of all required licenses.
  • Capable of demonstrating high flexibility and adaptability when facing frequent operational changes, busy schedules, and extended working hours or shift patterns.

Passenger Safety, Security, and Compliance

  • Instructs passengers comprehensively on safety procedures, ensuring the highest standards of passenger safety and comfort are maintained at all times.
  • Administers essential first aid to passengers whenever necessary in accordance with established medical protocols.
  • Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating immediately with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions as detailed in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain regarding any operational irregularities, safety breaches, or equipment malfunctions.

Customer Service Excellence and Revenue Generation

  • Greets and welcomes passengers, assisting them with all boarding formalities.
  • Delivers constant, exceptional customer service by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and specific passenger needs.
  • Identifies and provides discrete assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following strict policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual.
  • Contributes significantly to maximizing on-board revenue and supports the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting and selling on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
  • Ensures the secure and accurate handling of all cash and credit card payments received from individual sales and donations managed during the flight.

Pre and Post-Flight Administration and Reporting

  • Carries out meticulous pre-flight checks to confirm adequate supplies, fully functional emergency equipment, catering equipment, and all other specified provisions prior to take-off. Reports any identified deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
  • Assists in verifying that the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that re-catering and duty-free products are stocked appropriately before subsequent sectors.
  • Manages the orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to or from catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
  • Completes the required post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per company policy, providing an objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight discrepancies, and ensuring the proper closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
  • Holds accountability to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of passengers and is prepared to carry out the duties of Cabin Supervisor when formally designated by the Captain.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum Physical and Personal Requirements

  • Age: Must be between 20 to 30 years old.
  • Height: Minimum of 160 cm for Female candidates; Minimum of 168 cm for Male candidates.
  • Weight: Must be in proportional alignment with age and height standards.
  • Appearance: Possesses clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the standard cabin crew uniform.
  • Health: Must be medically and physically fit to perform all assigned Cabin Crew duties, possessing good general health, and free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases (Fit to Fly clearance is mandatory).
  • Skills: Must possess the basic ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.

Academic and Professional Credentials

  • Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is the minimum acceptable qualification. A diploma specializing in Travel or Tourism is highly regarded.
  • Training: Training certifications in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are considered a distinct advantage.
  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Work History: Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a high-volume customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality Industries is an added value. An active cabin crew license is a significant advantage.

Language Proficiency

  • The candidate must be fluent (both written and spoken) in the English language.
  • Fluency in Arabic is a mandatory requirement for this role.
