Aviation Cabin Crew Instructor and Examiner
A distinguished airline is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join the Flight Operations team as a Cabin Crew Instructor and Examiner. This critical role involves the comprehensive design, development, and delivery of mandatory and specialized training programs for Cabin Crew staff, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance (including ECAA measures). The Instructor/Examiner must uphold and promote the company's culture and corporate image throughout all training activities.
Key Result Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be entrusted with several core responsibilities aimed at maintaining operational excellence and crew competency:
- Designing and executing timely, effective training programs for Cabin Crew to satisfy evolving business and operational requirements, as well as rigorous internal safety and quality standards (aligned with the company's CSPM provisions). This includes implementing corrective action procedures for any crew non-conformities.
- Delivering mandatory training, including Initial, Conversion/Differences, Recurrent, and Refresher courses, to Cabin Crew and Pilots, while diligently monitoring performance progress and generating detailed management reports.
- Ensuring all training curriculum covers both theoretical knowledge and practical application, encompassing critical areas such as Passenger Conduct, Fire-Fighting protocols, Safety Procedures, Emergency and Catering Equipment handling, Aircraft Layout specifics, and essential Aircraft Visits.
- Instructing Cabin Crew on post-flight documentation, including the completion of necessary paperwork, occurrence reports, and handover/takeover procedures to maintain complete and orderly operational transitions.
- Conducting specialized "Leadership" courses and focused one-to-one coaching sessions for Senior Cabin Crew, providing continuous guidance to foster exceptional performance.
- Assisting in the rigorous evaluation of Cabin Crew competency and operational readiness; maintaining accurate records of license renewal dates to guarantee recertification before expiry; and managing all related certificate records.
- Ensuring the Cabin Security Procedures Manual (CSPM) is consistently updated, communicated effectively to all Cabin Crew, and fully integrated into training programs to guarantee unwavering adherence to regulations set by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and related entities.
- Drafting, reviewing, and approving the issuance of safety bulletins, ensuring Cabin Crew are comprehensively advised, updated on content, and fully understand the operational implications.
- Supporting the training team during internal and external audit processes, guaranteeing the availability, accuracy, and compliance of all function-related documents, reports, attendance sheets, and records.
- Contributing significantly to the development and updating of the question databank utilized in Cabin Crew selection examinations, while ensuring the safety and operational readiness of all training facilities, equipment, tools, tests, and resulting data.
- Supporting new joiners during the Induction Program on the Learning Management System (LMS), offering guidance and responding to content inquiries; attending briefing sessions to assess Cabin Crew knowledge retention.
- Providing supplementary training program delivery support to other operational hubs as required, and conducting training courses for "Third Parties" in accordance with approved Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contracts.
- Operating occasionally as a Cabin Supervisor, as scheduled, and conducting observational flights in the capacity of a checker when operational needs dictate.
- Maintaining and updating both the cabin safety and customer service training syllabi and programs to reflect current best practices and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Education, or an equivalent Diploma is highly preferred for this strategic role.
- Possession of relevant training certificates is required, such as "Train the Trainer," "Instructive Training," and professional skills development credentials.
- Appropriate corresponding license is preferred, specifically a valid ECAA Cabin Crew Instructor and Cabin Crew Examiner License.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing Audio Visual equipment is essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet navigation, and Web Search is mandatory.
- Fluency in the English language is required.
Work Experience and Competencies
- Candidates must be active Designated Cabin Crew Examiners and Instructors with a minimum of four years of experience within the Aviation sector.
- Comprehensive familiarity with ECAA rules and regulations pertaining to cabin services, licensing, and working procedures is prerequisite.
- Previous, demonstrable experience as a Cabin Crew Instructor and Examiner is essential.
- Must have extensive experience conducting training specifically focused on Airline Safety.
- Proven experience in planning, designing, and delivering high-quality training courses, preferably tailored for Cabin Crew.
- Exceptional ability to produce, interpret, assimilate complex data, and articulate ideas and concepts with clarity.
- A demonstrated capacity to balance technical expertise with strong interpersonal relations to successfully execute new initiatives supporting organizational objectives.
