Cabin Crew - Air Arabia
Job Overview
The Cabin Crew member will serve as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to cultivating customer loyalty and fostering a positive corporate image. This role is pivotal in enhancing the overall customer experience by providing exceptional service, ensuring passenger safety, and maintaining comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. Candidates must be prepared and fit to operate efficiently, aligning with established productivity benchmarks and adhering to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct and Professionalism
- Ensure punctual attendance, impeccable grooming, and fitness for all assigned flights.
- Actively participate in pre-flight briefings to confirm flight details, role assignments, operational targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
Safety and Security
- Communicate and instruct passengers on essential safety procedures to guarantee their utmost safety and comfort at all times.
- Identify potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administer first aid to passengers as required.
- Promptly report any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain, as appropriate.
Customer Service Excellence
- Warmly welcome passengers and assist with boarding formalities. Accurately record necessary data in the aircraft logbook, adhering to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Deliver consistently outstanding customer service by attending to passengers' pre-bookings, requests, and individual needs.
- Identify and support passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following established policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
- Contribute to maximizing onboard revenue and promoting the "Charity Cloud" program through effective sales of onboard meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensure the secure and accurate handling of cash and credit card transactions for individual sales and donations managed by the crew member.
Operational Support and Reporting
- Conduct thorough pre-flight checks to confirm the availability of sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified items. Report any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as necessary.
- Assist in ensuring the aircraft cabin is meticulously cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free provisions are available prior to departure.
- Oversee the orderly and complete handover and takeover of the cabin to and from catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
- Execute post-flight briefings and assessment reports in accordance with company policies and procedures. Provide objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and report any flight-related issues or discrepancies. Ensure the secure closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Account to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct. Assume the duties of the 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
- Maintain current professional knowledge and safety expertise by attending recurrent training, emergency procedure drills, and educational workshops. Ensure the validity of the required license.
- Contribute to team objectives by achieving allocated sales targets and fulfilling key performance indicators (KPIs).
Important Requirements
- Age: Between 18 to 29 years for candidates without prior Cabin Crew experience; up to 33 years for experienced Cabin Crew.
- Height: Minimum 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Physical Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming Proficiency: Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications
- Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered an advantage.
- Training: Prior training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is beneficial.
- Health: Fit to fly, possessing good general health with no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Languages: Fluent in written and spoken English. Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries will be considered an advantage.
- An active cabin crew license is advantageous.
- Must be capable of working shift patterns and extended hours.
- Demonstrate high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute to and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
