Cabin Crew / Flight Attendant Specialist
Overview and Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as the airline's official Brand Ambassador, primarily focusing on enhancing the overall passenger experience, ensuring customer loyalty, and consistently promoting a positive corporate image. This critical aviation role demands individuals who can ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of all passengers throughout the complete flight cycle while maintaining peak productivity and strictly adhering to established company policies and adopted aviation regulations (GCAA/CAA).
Core Responsibilities (Key Result Areas)
Aviation Safety and Compliance
- Ensures complete preparedness for all assigned flights, including timely attendance, impeccable grooming standards, medical fitness, and legal readiness for operation.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to assimilate flight details, understand role distribution, security protocols, and operational targets.
- Provides clear, precise instruction to passengers regarding all safety procedures, ensuring the highest standards of safety and comfort are maintained inflight.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks within the cabin environment and collaborates effectively with the Cabin Supervisor to implement swift remedial actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers necessary first aid to passengers promptly and professionally where required.
- Communicates any operational irregularities, malfunctions, or safety discrepancies to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain without delay.
Exceptional Customer Service and Sales
- Warmly welcomes all passengers, assists with boarding formalities, and accurately records necessary operational data in the aircraft log book, adhering strictly to airline and regulatory procedures.
- Delivers continuous, world-class customer service by attentively addressing individual needs, pre-bookings, and special requests throughout the journey.
- Provides empathetic support and assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following guidelines detailed in the Operations Manual.
- Contributes significantly to maximizing ancillary revenue, including the efficient promotion of on-board meals, retail products, and the "Charity Cloud" program, thereby striving to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Manages all financial transactions (cash and credit card payments) related to sales and donations with integrity and security.
Operational Readiness and Reporting
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify adequate stock of supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and operational gear, reporting any deficiencies to the relevant Flight Management immediately.
- Collaborates with ground teams during transit to ensure the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provisioned before flying.
- Facilitates an organized and professional handover/takeover process of the cabin to and from catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
- Carries out post-flight duties, including briefing and assessment reports as per adopted policies, providing objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting all flight discrepancies, and ensuring the proper closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Maintains professional competitiveness by attending mandatory recurrent trainings, emergency procedures workshops, and ensuring the validity of all necessary licenses.
- Contributes effectively to overall team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales objectives.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications (Academic and Languages)
- A minimum of a Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required; a formal qualification in Travel, Tourism, or Hospitality is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Fluency in Arabic is highly preferred.
- Certifications or training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are considered an added value.
- Applicant must possess good general health and be certified fit to fly, free from serious medical or chronic conditions.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
Work Experience
- Applications are strongly encouraged from recent graduates seeking entry into the aviation industry.
- Prior experience as Cabin Crew or in a direct customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality sectors is highly beneficial.
- Possession of a current, active Cabin Crew license is a distinct advantage.
- Must possess the capability to work irregular shift patterns and extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability in response to frequent schedule changes and busy operational requirements.
- Proves ability to contribute and successfully deliver results against established policies, procedures, and set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Mandatory Physical and Medical Criteria
- Age Requirement
- Must be between 18 and 29 years of age for candidates without prior Cabin Crew experience, or up to 33 years for experienced applicants.
- Minimum Height
- 160 cm for female candidates; 170 cm for male candidates.
- Physical Condition
- Weight must be proportional to height and age. Candidates must be medically and physically fit to execute all required duties.
- Appearance
- Clear skin is mandatory, with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the standard cabin crew uniform.
- Safety Requirement
- Must possess the ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
