Job Purpose: Airline Ambassador and Safety Professional
The Cabin Crew member serves as the airline's official ambassador, committed to achieving customer loyalty and consistently promoting a positive corporate image. This role requires enhancing the overall customer experience by providing exemplary service while rigorously ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout every phase of the flight cycle. The professional must maintain peak readiness and fitness to operate efficiently, ensuring productivity aligns with established company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Flight Operations and Conduct
- Ensuring timely attendance, impeccable grooming, physical fitness, and legal readiness for all assigned flights.
- Actively participating in pre-flight briefings to fully acknowledge flight specifics, role distributions, sales targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
Safety, Security, and Emergency Procedures
- Instructing passengers effectively on safety procedures to ensure their continuous safety and comfort.
- Proactively identifying potential safety and security risks and collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement immediate remedial actions in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administering essential first aid to passengers when required.
- Promptly informing the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any operational irregularities or equipment malfunctions.
Exceptional Customer Service
- Warmly welcoming passengers and facilitating boarding formalities; accurately entering necessary operational data into the aircraft log book as per regulatory (GCAA/CAA) and company procedures.
- Delivering consistently excellent customer service by attentively catering to passengers' individual needs, including pre-bookings and special requests.
- Identifying and assisting passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering strictly to the relevant policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual.
- Contributing actively to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the "Charity Cloud" program by efficiently promoting on-board meals, retail products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
- Ensuring the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments processed for individual sales and donations.
Pre- and Post-Flight Checks, Reporting, and Handover
- Conducting thorough pre-flight checks to verify the sufficiency of supplies, emergency equipment, catering stock, and other specified equipment prior to departure. Reporting any deficiencies immediately to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assisting in ensuring the aircraft cabin is immaculately cleaned during transit stops and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked before subsequent flights.
- Ensuring orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, or maintenance staff.
- Executing post-flight briefings and assessment reports according to adopted policies, including providing an objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight discrepancies, and securely closing and sealing duty-free containers.
- Accounting to the Cabin Supervisor for the general conduct of passengers; capable of fulfilling the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when officially designated by the Captain.
- Maintaining professional expertise and safety knowledge through mandatory recurrent training, emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and ensuring the validity of the current license.
- Contributing positively to the overall team effort by achieving related results and meeting allocated sales targets and objectives.
Mandatory Candidate Requirements
- Age: Between 18 to 29 years for non-experienced crew. A maximum age of 33 years applies for experienced crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be proportional to the candidate's age and height.
- Appearance: Clear skin is required, with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the standard cabin crew uniform.
- Health: Must be medically and physically fit to perform all aspects of Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming Ability: Must possess the ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, and Languages)
- Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable. A Diploma in Travel or Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training: Previous training certifications in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are highly valued.
- Medical Fitness: Must be deemed fit to fly, possessing good general health with no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Language: Mandatory fluency in both written and spoken English.
Work Experience and Competencies
- Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to submit their applications.
- Prior experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality Industries is a definite asset.
- Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is highly advantageous.
- Candidates must be capable of working irregular shift patterns and accommodating extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent schedule changes and busy operational periods.
- Proven ability to contribute effectively and successfully deliver results against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
