Job Purpose: Cabin Crew
The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image. This role is instrumental in enhancing the overall customer experience by providing exceptional service, ensuring passenger safety, and maintaining comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. Candidates must be prepared and fit to operate efficiently, aligning productivity with established company measures, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct and Preparedness:
- Ensures punctual attendance, impeccable grooming, and fitness for all assigned flights, adhering to legal requirements.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, understand role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
Safety and Security Measures:
- Provides clear instructions on safety procedures to passengers, guaranteeing their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as required.
- Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain, as appropriate.
Customer Service Excellence:
- Greets passengers, assists with boarding formalities, and accurately records necessary data in the aircraft logbook, adhering to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Delivers consistently excellent customer service by attending to passengers' individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following relevant policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the "Charity Cloud" program through effective promotion of on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team targets.
- Manages cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations securely and accurately.
Cross-checking and Reporting:
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to ensure adequate supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified items are available prior to departure; reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is impeccably cleaned at transit stations and that sufficient re-catering and duty-free products are provisioned before flights.
- Ensures orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports according to established policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations, reporting flight discrepancies, and securing duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and assumes the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge through recurrent training, emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and ensuring a current license.
- Contributes to team success by achieving related results, allocated sales targets, and objectives.
Important Requirements
- Age: Between 18 and 29 years for individuals with no prior experience; maximum 33 years for experienced crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for female candidates, 170 cm for male candidates.
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Physical Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming Proficiency: Ability to swim with the assistance of a flotation device.
Qualifications and Languages
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered an advantage.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added asset.
- Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous cabin crew experience or customer service roles within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries are advantageous.
- An active cabin crew license is considered an advantage.
- Capability to work in a shift pattern and for extended hours is necessary.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
- Ability to contribute effectively and achieve set policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
