Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as an essential ambassador, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image at all times. This is achieved by consistently enhancing the overall customer experience. The role demands the provision of excellent customer service to all passengers while meticulously ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The successful candidate must maintain operational readiness and fitness, ensuring productivity aligns with established metrics and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Professional Conduct and Flight Readiness
- Ensures punctual attendance, impeccable grooming, and full fitness and legal compliance for all assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to confirm understanding of flight details, role distribution, sales targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
Safety and Emergency Procedures
- Provides clear instructions to passengers on all necessary safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort continuously.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers when required.
- Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as appropriate.
Exceptional Customer Service
- Warmly welcomes passengers and provides assistance with boarding formalities. Accurately enters required data into the aircraft logbook according to company and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Delivers consistent, excellent customer service by attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and specific passenger needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to the policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program through effective promotion of on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received from individual sales and donations.
Aircraft Preparation, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items prior to take-off. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as necessary.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is meticulously cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before subsequent flights.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, including objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight problems or discrepancies, and closing and sealing duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and is prepared to assume the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains essential professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, and by ensuring the validity of all current licenses.
- Contributes to overall team effort by achieving related results and fulfilling allocated sales targets and objectives.
Candidate Profile
Essential Requirements
- Age: Between 20 to 33 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for Female candidates, 170 cm for Male candidates.
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Skin: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Physical Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming Ability: Must be able to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable for this role; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered an advantage.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Language: Fluency in both written and spoken English is mandatory.
Experience and Attributes
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for this role.
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation or Hospitality industries will be highly valued.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working effectively in a shift pattern and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Exhibits the ability to contribute positively and successfully deliver against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
