Cabin Crew - Job Description
An esteemed airline is seeking dedicated and professional individuals to join its Cabin Crew team. The Cabin Crew member serves as a vital ambassador for the airline, consistently striving to cultivate customer loyalty and project a positive corporate image. This role is centered on elevating the overall customer experience while rigorously upholding passenger safety and comfort throughout the entire flight journey. Cabin Crew are expected to maintain readiness and fitness for operational duties, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
The Cabin Crew is responsible for a range of duties encompassing conduct, safety, customer service, and essential checks/reports.
- Operational Conduct: Ensures punctuality, impeccable grooming standards, personal fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights. Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to stay informed on flight specifics, role assignments, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Safety Measures: Diligently instructs passengers on crucial safety procedures to guarantee their well-being and comfort at all times. Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers first aid to passengers as required. Promptly reports any irregularities or equipment malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain.
- Customer Service Excellence: Extends a warm welcome to passengers and facilitates boarding processes. Accurately records necessary data in the aircraft logbook according to airline and Civil Aviation Authority procedures. Provides continuous excellent customer service, attending to passenger pre-bookings, requests, and individual needs. Offers assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following guidelines outlined in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions. Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting charity initiatives by effectively promoting meals, products, and services, thereby helping to achieve individual and team sales targets. Ensures the secure and accurate handling of all cash and credit card transactions for sales and donations.
- Aircraft Checks & Reporting: Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify adequate supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified items before departure. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain. Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is comprehensively cleaned during transit stops and that catering and duty-free products are sufficiently restocked. Facilitates an orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, or maintenance personnel. Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per established policies, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor's performance, reporting flight problems or discrepancies, and ensuring the proper closing and sealing of duty-free containers. Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and is prepared to undertake the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
- Professional Development: Maintains essential professional knowledge and safety competency by regularly attending recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops. Ensures current licensing is upheld. Contributes to overall team success by achieving related outcomes and meeting allocated sales targets and objectives.
Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements:
Candidates interested in applying for Cabin Crew positions should meet the following criteria:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Maximum age: Cabin Crew - 28 years; Lead Cabin Crew - 36 years.
- Attested copies of Secondary School Certificate (SSC/O-Level) mark sheet and certificate, with equivalency certificate copy attestation if applicable.
- Attested copies of Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC/A-Level) mark sheet and certificate, with equivalency certificate copy attestation if applicable.
- Possession of a valid CNIC and Passport.
- Demonstrated fluency in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
- Minimum height requirement: 160 cm for females, 170 cm for males.
- Weight must be in proportion to age and height.
- Clear skin free from visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to successfully perform all Cabin Crew duties.
- Fresh candidates are welcome to apply for the Cabin Crew position.
- Only experienced Cabin Crew members are eligible to apply for the Lead Cabin Crew position.
