Job Summary
As a Cabin Crew member for Air Arabia, the individual serves as a vital ambassador, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image. This role involves consistently enhancing the overall customer experience by providing exceptional service while ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew member must be operationally ready and maintain fitness to perform duties effectively, ensuring productivity aligns with company standards, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
The Cabin Crew member is responsible for a range of duties encompassing conduct, safety, customer service, and reporting:
Conduct & Readiness:
- Ensures punctual attendance, impeccable grooming, and personal fitness and legality for assigned flights.
- Participates actively in pre-flight briefings to confirm flight details, understand role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
Safety & Security:
- Instructs passengers on essential safety procedures to guarantee their security and comfort at all times.
- Identifies and reports potential safety and security risks to the Cabin Supervisor, assisting in taking appropriate remedial action according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provides first aid to passengers as necessary.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or equipment malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Welcomes passengers and facilitates boarding processes, entering necessary data into the aircraft log book in compliance with Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Delivers consistent excellent customer service, attending to individual passenger needs, pre-bookings, and requests.
- Identifies and assists passengers who may be experiencing stress or difficulties, following guidelines in the Operations Manual.
- Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program through effective promotion of products, meals, and charitable services, striving to meet individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments from sales and donations.
Operations & Reporting:
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other necessary items before departure, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is clean during transit stops and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are available before the next flight segment.
- Manages orderly handover and takeover procedures for the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports as per established procedures, providing objective evaluations, reporting flight problems or discrepancies, and securing duty-free containers.
- Accounts for passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and may undertake Cabin Supervisor duties when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge and competencies by attending recurrent, emergency procedures, and educational trainings, ensuring their license remains current.
- Collaborates as part of a team to achieve collective results and meet allocated sales targets and objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- **Age:** Between 20 to 33 years
- **Height & Weight:** Minimum height of 160 cm for females and 170 cm for males. Weight must be in proportion to age and height.
- **Appearance:** Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- **Health:** Medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties. Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- **Other Skills:** Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device is required. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Fluent in both written and spoken English.
- **Education:** A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered advantageous. Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is also a valuable asset.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is beneficial.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Candidates must be capable of working variable shift patterns and extended hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent schedule changes and busy periods.
- Possesses the ability to contribute effectively and achieve results aligned with company policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
