Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image by consistently enhancing the passenger experience. The role involves providing exceptional customer service to all passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The individual must maintain readiness and fitness to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures and company policies and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities
Conduct:
- Ensures timely attendance, adheres to proper grooming standards, verifies fitness and legality for assigned flights, and attends briefings to understand flight details, roles, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
Safety Measures:
- Instructs passengers on essential safety procedures to ensure their continuous safety and comfort.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Reports any irregularities or malfunctions promptly to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain as appropriate.
Customer Service:
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities. Enters necessary data into the aircraft log book in accordance with airline and regulatory procedures.
- Provides consistently excellent customer service by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and charitable programs by effectively promoting meals, products, and services, aiming to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments for sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items are present before departure, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring thorough cabin cleaning at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before subsequent flights.
- Ensures orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Carries out post-flight briefing and assessment reports according to policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight problems or discrepancies, and managing the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and may perform Cabin Supervisor duties when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent and emergency procedures training and educational workshops, ensuring their license remains current.
- Contributes to team success by achieving related results and meeting allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Age between 20 and 33 years.
- Minimum height of 160 cm for females and 170 cm for males.
- Weight should be in proportion to age and height.
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
Required qualifications include:
- Possession of a Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate (a diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous).
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is considered an asset.
- Must be fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
Work Experience
Experience requirements:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is considered an added value.
- An active cabin crew license is advantageous.
- Candidates must be capable of working shift patterns and extended hours.
- High flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules are required.
- The ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) is essential.
