Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member acts as a pivotal ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to cultivating customer loyalty and consistently projecting a positive corporate image. This is achieved through the continuous enhancement of the overall passenger experience. The role demands the provision of exceptional customer service to all passengers while rigorously ensuring their safety and comfort are maintained throughout the complete flight cycle. The successful candidate must consistently demonstrate readiness and fitness to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with established measures and the company’s adopted policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Conduct
- Ensures timely attendance, impeccable grooming, physical fitness, and legal compliance for all assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to gain full acknowledgement of flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
Safety and Security Measures
- Instructs passengers comprehensively on all necessary safety procedures, consistently prioritizing and ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks proactively and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement immediate remedial action in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers essential first aid to passengers when required.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain, as appropriate, of any irregularities or malfunctions observed.
Exceptional Customer Service
- Extends a warm welcome to passengers and provides comprehensive assistance with their boarding formalities.
- Accurately enters all necessary data into the aircraft log book, adhering strictly to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
- Delivers constant, excellent customer service by attentively responding to passengers' individual pre-bookings, requests, and diverse needs throughout the flight.
- Identifies and provides compassionate assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, in full compliance with the corresponding policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and supports the "Charity Cloud" program by efficiently promoting on-board meals, retail products, and charity services, thereby contributing to the achievement of individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received against individual sales and donations managed by the crew member.
Checks, Reporting, and Professional Development
- Carries out meticulous pre-flight checks to verify the sufficiency of supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and all other specified equipment prior to take-off. Any deficiencies are reported promptly to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before subsequent flight segments.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to or from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Conducts post-flight briefings and completes assessment reports in accordance with adopted policies and procedures, including providing an objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any problems or discrepancies encountered on the flight, and overseeing the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Provides a detailed account to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of passengers and assumes the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when officially designated as such by the Captain.
- Maintains essential professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by diligently attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, and educational workshops, while ensuring the continuous currency of their license.
- Contributes effectively to overall team effort by accomplishing related results and consistently achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements
- Age: Candidates must be between 20 to 33 years of age.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for female candidates, and 170 cm for male candidates.
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height, ensuring overall fitness for the role.
- Appearance: Possesses clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos that would be apparent while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Fitness: Must be medically and physically fit to perform all demanding cabin crew duties.
- Swimming Ability: Capable of swimming with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is an acceptable qualification for this role; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered a distinct advantage.
- Previous training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are highly valued and contribute positively to an application.
- Must be medically fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases that could impede performance.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is an essential requirement.
Work Experience and Attributes
