Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member acts as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to cultivating customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. He/She provides outstanding customer service to all passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew member is expected to be prepared and fit for duty, maintaining productivity in accordance with established measures and the company's policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct: Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and compliance with regulations for assigned flights. Attends briefings to acknowledge flight details, role assignments, targets, and security/boarding procedures.
- Safety Measures: Instructs passengers on safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort at all times. Identifies and reports safety and security risks to the Cabin Supervisor, initiating remedial actions per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers first aid to passengers when necessary. Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
- Customer Service: Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, entering required data into the aircraft logbook following Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures. Delivers consistent, excellent customer service by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and supports passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual. Maximizes on-board revenue and supports the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets. Ensures the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments from individual sales and donations.
- Crosschecking and Reports: Conducts pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain. Assists in maintaining a thoroughly cleaned aircraft cabin at transit stations and ensures adequate re-catering and duty-free products are available before flight. Ensures orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff. Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports according to established policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, and reporting any flight problems or discrepancies, including the closing and sealing of duty-free containers. Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct, fulfilling the duties of "Cabin Supervisor" when designated by the Captain. Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, ensuring current licensure. Contributes to team success by achieving related results and allocated sales targets.
Important Requirements
- Age: 20 to 33 years old.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Proportionate to age and height.
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with a flotation device.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is preferred.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an advantage.
- Fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation/Hospitality industries is considered an advantage.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
