Cabin Crew Job Description

Overview

Job Purpose

The Cabin Crew member serves as a direct ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and consistently projecting a positive corporate image. This role demands the provision of exemplary customer service to all passengers, while meticulously ensuring their safety and comfort throughout every phase of the flight. The successful candidate must maintain operational readiness and fitness, ensuring productivity aligns with established company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct

  1. Ensures punctual attendance, maintains impeccable grooming standards, confirms physical fitness, and verifies legal compliance for all assigned flights.
  2. Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to assimilate flight details, understand role distribution, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.

Safety Measures

  1. Provides clear instructions to passengers regarding safety procedures, thereby ensuring their continuous safety and comfort.
  2. Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  3. Administers essential first aid to passengers as required.
  4. Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.

Customer Service

  1. Extends a warm welcome to passengers and provides assistance during boarding formalities, meticulously entering required data into the aircraft logbook in compliance with Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
  2. Delivers consistently excellent customer service to passengers by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
  3. Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
  4. Contributes significantly to maximizing on-board revenue and the “Charity Cloud” program through the effective promotion of on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
  5. Ensures the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments from individual sales and donations.

Crosschecking and Reports

  1. Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified equipment before departure; promptly reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
  2. Supports efforts to ensure the aircraft cabin is meticulously cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked prior to subsequent flights.
  3. Ensures the orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
  4. Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports in accordance with adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight-related problems or discrepancies, and overseeing the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
  5. Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and is prepared to assume the duties of ‘Cabin Supervisor’ when designated by the Captain.
  6. Maintains essential professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by participating in recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, and educational workshops, ensuring all licenses remain current.
  7. Contributes to overall team success by achieving allocated sales targets and objectives and delivering related results.
