Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as a brand ambassador for the airline, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and projecting a positive corporate image at all times. This is achieved by enhancing the overall passenger experience. The role involves delivering excellent customer service to all passengers while prioritizing their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew is expected to maintain operational readiness and fitness, ensuring productivity aligns with established standards and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct
- Ensures punctuality, maintains impeccable grooming standards, and confirms personal fitness and legal requirements for assigned flights.
- Participates actively in pre-flight briefings to confirm flight details, role assignments, performance targets, security procedures, and boarding protocols.
Safety Measures
- Educates passengers on essential safety procedures to be followed, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provides first aid assistance to passengers as required.
- Reports any irregularities or equipment malfunctions promptly to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain as appropriate.
Customer Service
- Warmly welcomes passengers and assists with boarding procedures; accurately records necessary data in the aircraft log book as per airline and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
- Consistently delivers outstanding customer service to passengers by attending to their individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and offers assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties in accordance with corresponding policies and procedures.
- Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue through the efficient promotion of meals, products, and charity initiatives, striving to meet individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card transactions received against individual sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify adequate supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items prior to take off, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring the cleanliness of the aircraft cabin during transit stops and confirms adequate re-catering and duty-free stock before departure.
- Ensures a smooth and complete handover/takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Participates in post-flight briefings and completes assessment reports as per adopted policies, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any problems or discrepancies on the flight, and overseeing the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Reports passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and may assume the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains necessary professional and safety competency through regular recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, ensuring their cabin crew license remains current.
- Contributes to overall team performance by successfully accomplishing related tasks and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Requirements
- Age: Between 20 and 33 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: To be in proportion to age and height.
- Clear skin with no marks or tattoos that would be visible whilst wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable for this role; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Language: Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation or hospitality industries is considered an added value.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working a shift pattern, including extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Shows the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
