Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as a distinguished ambassador for Air Arabia, entrusted with fostering exceptional customer loyalty and consistently promoting a positive corporate image. This critical role demands the continuous enhancement of the overall passenger experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering unparalleled customer service to all passengers while rigorously ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being are paramount throughout the entire flight cycle. Cabin Crew must consistently maintain peak physical fitness and operational readiness, ensuring productivity aligns seamlessly with established company standards and adopted policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Operational Readiness & Professional Conduct
- Ensures punctual attendance, adheres to impeccable grooming standards, maintains optimal physical fitness, and ensures legal readiness for all assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to assimilate crucial flight details, understand role distributions, review performance targets, conduct security checks, and prepare efficiently for boarding procedures.
Safety and Security Measures
- Instructs passengers effectively on all mandatory safety procedures, diligently prioritizing their safety and comfort at every stage of the journey.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating closely with the Cabin Supervisor to implement immediate remedial actions in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Competently administers essential first aid to passengers as and when necessary, ensuring immediate care.
- Promptly reports any irregularities, malfunctions, or significant incidents to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain, ensuring immediate awareness and appropriate action.
Exceptional Customer Service
- Extends a warm welcome to passengers and provides comprehensive assistance with boarding formalities, accurately entering essential data into the aircraft log book in accordance with Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
- Delivers consistently excellent customer service by attentively addressing individual pre-bookings, special requests, and diverse passenger needs throughout the flight.
- Identifies and provides compassionate assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering strictly to the policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and supports the "Charity Cloud" program through efficient promotion of in-flight meals, retail products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the accurate, proper, and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments processed for individual sales and donations.
Pre/Post-Flight Procedures & Reporting
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify the sufficiency of supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified equipment prior to take-off. Any identified deficiencies are promptly reported to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assists in overseeing the meticulous cleaning of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and confirms the provision of adequate re-catering and duty-free products before subsequent flights.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to or from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Executes post-flight briefings and completes accurate assessment reports in line with adopted policies and procedures, including objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight discrepancies, and securing duty-free containers.
- Provides a detailed account of passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and is prepared to assume the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated as such by the Captain.
- Maintains and enhances professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by regularly attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, and educational workshops, ensuring a current and valid license.
- Contributes effectively to overall team objectives by accomplishing assigned tasks and consistently achieving allocated sales targets.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Physical Requirements
- Age: Must be between 20 to 33 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for female applicants, 170 cm for male applicants.
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Appearance: Possesses clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform all cabin crew duties, including the ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is the minimum academic requirement for this role; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered a significant asset.
- Possession of training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures will be a distinct advantage.
- Must possess good general health, be free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases, and be certified as fit to fly.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Language: Must demonstrate fluent written and spoken English.
