The Cabin Crew Member serves as a vital ambassador for the airline, dedicated to delivering an exceptional customer experience, fostering passenger loyalty, and upholding the airline's positive corporate image. The role primarily focuses on ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout every phase of the flight cycle, while maintaining optimal operational readiness and strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will undertake a comprehensive range of duties, including but not limited to:
- Operational Readiness & Professional Conduct: Ensures timely attendance, impeccable grooming, and full operational fitness prior to assigned flights. Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, role distribution, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Safety & Emergency Procedures: Provides clear and concise instructions on safety procedures, prioritizing the well-being and comfort of all passengers. Proactively identifies and mitigates potential safety and security risks in collaboration with the Cabin Supervisor, in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers first aid when necessary and promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain.
- Exceptional Customer Service: Extends a warm welcome to passengers and assists with boarding formalities. Delivers consistent, high-quality customer service by attentively addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Offers empathetic support to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, in line with established company policies detailed in the Operations Manual.
- Commercial & Revenue Contribution: Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and charitable initiatives (e.g., “Charity Cloud” program) by effectively promoting and selling meals, duty-free products, and services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets. Ensures meticulous and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received from sales and donations.
- Pre-flight, In-flight & Post-flight Procedures: Conducts comprehensive pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified provisions, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain. Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the aircraft cabin at transit stations and ensures adequate re-catering and duty-free product stocking. Facilitates orderly handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel. Participates in post-flight debriefings and prepares assessment reports according to established policies, including objective evaluations of Cabin Supervisors, reporting discrepancies, and overseeing the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Leadership & Professional Development: Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of passengers and is prepared to assume the duties of Cabin Supervisor when formally designated by the Captain. Maintains professional and safety knowledge by actively participating in recurrent trainings, emergency procedures workshops, and ensuring current license validity. Contributes to overall team success by accomplishing assigned results and achieving allocated sales objectives.
Essential Requirements & Qualifications
Prospective candidates are expected to meet the following criteria:
- Age: Between 20 and 33 years.
- Physical Attributes: Minimum height of 160 cm for females and 168 cm for males, with weight proportionate to age and height. Clear skin free of visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform. Medically and physically fit to perform all cabin crew duties.
- Swimming Ability: Must possess the ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
- Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a Diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Certifications: Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Health: Must be medically fit to fly, possessing good general health without serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent written and spoken English is mandatory.
Work Experience & Attributes
