Cabin Crew

Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for the airline, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image at all times. This is achieved by significantly enhancing the overall customer experience. The role involves providing excellent customer service to all passengers while ensuring their safety and comfort are maintained throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew member is expected to be ready and fit for duty, operating in a manner that ensures productivity aligns with established measures and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct:
- Ensures timely attendance, maintains proper grooming standards, and verifies personal fitness and legality for assigned flights. Attends briefings to confirm awareness of flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, boarding procedures, and other relevant information.
Safety Measures:
- Instructs passengers on necessary safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the flight.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as required.
- Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities. Enters necessary data into the aircraft log book following company and regulatory procedures.
- Provides consistent excellent customer service by attending to passengers' pre-bookings, requests, and individual needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties in line with procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures accurate and secure handling of cash and credit card payments for sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items are present before departure. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are loaded before the next flight segment.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to or from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Carries out post-flight briefings and assessment reports as per company policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight problems or discrepancies, and managing the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and performs the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when assigned by the Captain.
- Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, and educational workshops, ensuring their license remains current.
- Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Requirements
- Age: Between 20 and 33 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for females, 168 cm for males.
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming: Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications
- Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training: Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Health: Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Language: Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation or Hospitality Industries is considered an added value.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capability to work in a shift pattern and for extended working hours is required.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Shows the ability to contribute to and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
