The Cabin Crew member serves as an essential ambassador for the airline, committed to building customer loyalty and projecting a positive corporate image. This role is central to enhancing the overall customer experience by ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the entire flight cycle. The position requires individuals who are consistently ready and fit to operate, maintaining productivity in line with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
The Cabin Crew member is responsible for a variety of duties encompassing conduct, safety, customer service, and operational checks:
- Conduct:
- Ensuring timely attendance, impeccable grooming, physical fitness, and legal readiness for assigned flights. Attending pre-flight briefings to confirm flight details, understand role distribution, targets, and essential procedures including security checks and boarding.
- Safety Measures:
- Providing clear instructions to passengers on safety procedures, consistently prioritizing their safety and comfort.
- Identifying potential safety and security risks and collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administering first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly informing the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
- Customer Service:
- Warmly welcoming passengers and assisting with boarding processes. Completing necessary entries in the aircraft log book according to company and regulatory procedures (GCAA/CAA).
- Delivering consistently excellent customer service by attending to individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifying and assisting passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to detailed policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
- Contributing to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the “Charity Cloud” program through effective promotion of on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensuring the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments from sales and donations.
- Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducting thorough pre-flight checks of supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items before departure. Reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assisting in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked before the next flight.
- Ensuring an orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Performing post-flight briefings and completing assessment reports according to established policies and procedures. Providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight problems or discrepancies, and ensuring duty-free containers are closed and sealed.
- Reporting on passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor. Performing the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when officially designated by the Captain.
- Maintaining professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, educational workshops, and ensuring license currency.
- Contributing effectively to the team effort by achieving related results and meeting allocated sales targets and objectives.
Requirements
- **Age:** Between 20 and 33 years.
- **Minimum Height:** 160 cm for females, 168 cm for males.
- **Weight:** Must be in proportion to age and height.
- **Appearance:** Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- **Health:** Medically and physically fit to perform all cabin crew duties. Must be fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- **Swimming Ability:** Capable of swimming with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is considered an added value.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Candidates must be capable of working rotating shifts and potentially extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Possesses the ability to contribute effectively and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
