Job Purpose:
The Cabin Crew member acts as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and enhancing the overall customer experience to promote a positive corporate image. He or she provides exceptional customer service, ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout each flight. The ideal candidate maintains readiness and fitness to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with established metrics and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct: Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legality for assigned flights. Attends briefings to acknowledge flight details, role assignments, targets, and security/boarding procedures.
- Safety Measures: Instructs passengers on safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Identifies and addresses safety and security risks in partnership with the Cabin Supervisor, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers first aid when necessary. Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
- Customer Service: Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities. Enters necessary data into the aircraft log book, following Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures. Delivers consistently excellent customer service, attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and supports passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following policies and procedures in the Operations Manual. Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team targets. Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received.
- Crosschecking and Reports: Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, and catering, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain. Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided. Ensures orderly handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff. Carries out post-flight briefings and assessment reports, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any problems or discrepancies on the flight, including the closing and sealing of duty-free containers. Provides the Cabin Supervisor information on passenger conduct and carries out the duties of ‘Cabin Supervisor’ when designated as such by the Captain.
- Professional Development: Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge through recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, ensuring a current license. Contributes to team success by achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: 20 to 33 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male)
- Weight: In proportion to Age and Height
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically/Physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties
- Ability to swim with a flotation device
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is advantageous.
- Fit to fly with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous cabin crew or customer service experience in the airlines, aviation, or hospitality industries is an advantage.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
