Overview

Job Purpose

The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia. This role is dedicated to achieving customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image by consistently enhancing the overall passenger experience. The Cabin Crew provides excellent customer service while ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the entire flight cycle. The successful candidate must be prepared and medically fit to operate flights, maintaining productivity in accordance with company policies, procedures, and set measures.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Conduct:

  • Ensures punctual attendance, maintains professional grooming standards, and confirms personal fitness and legal readiness for assigned flights. Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, understand role distribution, review targets, perform security checks, and manage boarding procedures.

Safety and Security:

  • Provides passengers with clear instructions on safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Administers first aid to passengers when necessary.
  • Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as appropriate.

Customer Experience:

  • Warmly welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities. Accurately enters necessary data into the aircraft log book in compliance with Air Arabia and regulatory procedures (GCAA/CAA).
  • Delivers consistently excellent customer service by attending to individual passenger pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
  • Identifies and provides assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to relevant policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other instructions.
  • Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and participation in the 'Charity Cloud' program through effective promotion of on-board meals, products, and charity services, striving to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Ensures the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments related to individual sales and donations.

Checks and Reporting:

  • Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify the availability of sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified items before departure. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
  • Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before the next flight segment.
  • Manages the orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
  • Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, including providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight problems or discrepancies, and managing the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
  • Reports passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and is prepared to perform Cabin Supervisor duties when designated by the Captain.
  • Maintains professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent training, emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and ensuring their license remains current.
  • Contributes to overall team success by accomplishing related duties and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.

Requirements

  • Age: Between 20 and 33 years.
  • Minimum Height: 160 cm for female candidates, 168 cm for male candidates.
  • Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
  • Skin: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
  • Swimming Ability: Must be able to swim with the aid of a flotation device.

Qualifications and Training

  • Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered advantageous.
  • Training: Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is beneficial.
  • Health: Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Language: Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.

Work Experience

  • Entry Level: Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous Experience: Prior experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality Industries is an added value.
  • Licensing: Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is an advantage.
  • Availability: Capable of working varying shift patterns and extended hours.
  • Flexibility: Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent schedule changes and busy operational demands.
  • Performance: Proven ability to contribute effectively and meet established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
